my i4 medium, 2012 bamboo and 2013 bamboo (i think???) all had the same issues and the pens are very costly to replace (but they are better. but that's up to u i guess some people like the huion ones) [editline]12th November 2014[/editline] the build quality of the huion tablets like the h1060 won't match the rigidity of the intuos medium ones though. but they'll function, and given you aren't travelling with it a whole ton i don't think it matters that much. consider a wacom tablet if you're travelling a lot however because they'll hold up better.
Changed up some stuff, gonna continue more next day.
Well that's obviously not an inherent problem with the Intuos tablets themselves, you just got a bad one (or three?). I'm just saying the Huion will not be on the same level as the Intuos if you've gotten used to an Intuos.
my flatmate had the same model and had similar issues with the cable disconnecting when nudged or moved though not as catastrophic and repetitive as the shittiness i got. removable cables suck ass in general they're just another unknown that can easily go wrong so i could pay like £200+ for another intuos or like £50 for a huion that, for someone like me who barely paints anymore especially, isn't going to be really noticeably worse and if it is, hey at least i've only spent £50 on it instead of having another broken paperweight intuos
Been a long time since I've attempted pixel art. Is it easy to tell what cars they are?
Bit big for pixel art surely
Bit big for pixel art surely
We're going for 1pixel per inch. Just a really easy way to make every car correctly scaled with each other. And it gives us more detail.
If you're just going to copy it inch for inch what's the point of even drawing it? Just trace it if you just need an accurate pixel image of it. It's not very good as pixel art though.

There wasnt any issue with the bamboo itself so it fixed it entirely. Unless you had damaged the connector itself bending it one place or another I had no issues...although that is what I did to my first one, dropped it and the usb bent making the connection loose till it eventually became unusable. So I can certainly see that happening.
Do you have a link for that? Sounds interesting.
It's on Gumroad, under John Park. It costs a few dollars, as Gumroad stuff usually does. But I think there's some free stuff?
yo guys i've asked this before but i'm actually gonna buy one now: what's the name of that alternative brand to wacom that's like 50% cheaper and pmuch just as good? i think they're korean or chinese or something but i can never remember the name
take a look at microsoft surface pro 2/3 it is a tablet pc with pressure sensitivity so you can use it as a portable drawing device if i had extra money id buy that cause it seems cool and neat
From my experiences with off-brand tablets the shitty drivers are a way bigger downside than you'd think I'm using a monoprice right now and the pressure curve is all off so I get bad tapering at the end of all lines if I draw naturally. And I can't change it. And every time I plug it in or restart my computer I need to change my settings because they never save, and if I forget to do it before opening any drawing software things start breaking Can't wait to get a wacom
I think it's pretty common sense to not get any product with "price" as part of the brand name at least I've never considered a monoprice for that reason
I think it's pretty common sense to not get any product with "price" as part of the brand name at least I've never considered a monoprice for that reason
I guess so but when i bought it it was the one that everyone recommended
I guess so but when i bought it it was the one that everyone recommended
i still haven't noticed any issues with mine...
I think it's pretty common sense to not get any product with "price" as part of the brand name at least I've never considered a monoprice for that reason
?? monoprice is pretty stellar in general. they have some crap products as any other company like them does but they often do great quality stuff for very little. their tablets are rebranded huions

wat
Kind of random to say this, but honestly, learning about perspective is so amazing. It's like I'm actually finally able to draw the things I think up in my head as opposed to being reduced to character portraits! I kind of wish someone had told me about it during my three years of art class in high school
how does it walk
like that
r32 integra s15?
Last one is right, they are all Silvia's though.

Small update on my turret project. As a side to it we also had to produce a poster (something I planed on doing anyway). I got this done tonight and I looked back only a moment ago and realized how happy I was with it after what can only be described as an unfortunately shit day. What the fuck is this bullshit? Photoshop just spammed open like 100 of these adobe help windows and now I cant click out of the new layer window. Wtf do I do? [T]http://i.imgur.com/YVLAfdB.png[/T] [T]http://i.imgur.com/l8SdEj1.png[/T] E: fuck it
Hey, I'm a new user to Facepunch and I wanted to share a little story I wrote. It's not done, but I found it to be fairly interesting to write and am not sure how to continue it. I'd like an opinion or two! Thanks guys!
Miracles The boy held the device in his left hand. He looked at it calmly, as if it were a harmless system of nuts, bolts, and gears. This was a mere piece of machinery. He ran his fingers down the nickel plating on the top of this foreign thing. However, it wasn’t too foreign. A boy of any age has probably seen enough movies to know what this object was. The responsibility of which, however remained for the mind of the user to decide. He knew what it was; a strong lad of nearly 19 should know better. He traded it in his hands. Heavy was the first thought, surprisingly so. The first time he held it was so long ago and this fact still interested him to this day. His thumb pulled the lever back, and then slowly pulled the slide. There was another man-made object, except not of nickel and steel but of brass and lead. It sat in its chamber like a child eager to race out the door of his school. He smirked at the thought. The boy raised the device to his temple, and moved the lever to a separate position. “Will it be?” he thought. He stared grimly, as if he already knew the outcome. Click. He lowered the machinery in a confused haste and turned toward his camcorder and began his explanation. “Trial 113 is successful.” He looked around the empty room, save for the camcorder, himself, and the abandoned chipped walls. The boy pondered quizzically before he continued on. “I am certain I have done enough trials, the handgun was previously fully functional and test fired before the experiment. These trials are living examples of the behavior of our universe. Why would a previously functional firearm malfunction when used on myself? A man by the name of Hans Moravec first did a thought experiment. A person in a room has a loaded firearm. He takes it, points it at his or her head and ultimately pulls the trigger. At that particular moment, the bounds of our being split into an infinite amount of dimensions, but for the sake of simplicity I will explain two. The gun goes off and the person dies as expected. That is our first outcome.” He rustled his brown hair and stretched his neck before continuing. “The second, the person pulls the trigger. There is no grim outcome here though; the gun clicks. These are two opposite reactions to parallel universes that were created as the firearm was triggered. This begs the question of another theory that is subtly discussed and widely discredited. This theory is Quantum Immortality. Every action has a possible outcome in which the event of death is avoidable, making a human being possibly immortal. There is no possible way to measure these outcomes or predict them though so the process is entirely random. After all, death is rarely a binary event.” He breathed in before his next statement as if it was difficult to muster. “What if someone could naturally predict these outcomes? If that were so, this person could bend outcomes in any way seen fit. The human body can naturally predict the weather, and human brains process thoughts and unusual behavior commonly. The body can also transfer information throughout itself in nanoseconds. There are cases of people predicting their deaths and many other paranormal or superstitious things that could honestly be explained by pure luck or uneventful intuition.” He was nearly shouting as he reached the climax of his lecture. “I believe I have this natural ability to predict these outcomes and enter these alternate dimensions. I have attempted to harm myself over a hundred times to no avail. I have no recollection of ever coming to any serious harm throughout my entire life, despite me being a person of grand spontaneity and stupidity.” He picked up the camcorder and pointed it directly at his face. “I guess I’m lucky.” He put the camcorder down and slowly breathed out. It had been so hard to just conclude to this. He couldn’t just tell someone. Any sane person would think twice before taking someone who thought himself to be immortal seriously. The boy took his supplies and walked out the room door and left the abandoned building. He disposed of the firearm in a hole not too far away and moved a wood palette on top of it. The boy trekked home confused as he ever was with his camcorder. It took no more than an hour to walk back, as he lived in a generally rural area. He looked through the window in the front of his house to see that the small digital clock in his living room showed the time was nearly 5:00am. He cursed quietly as his father could’ve been awake by now. That would have been a hell of a talk. He inserted his key and moved stealthily to his room and sat upon his bed. His dreary eyes couldn’t take many more late nights. He thought highly of his natural sneaking ability though, as he was quieter than a mute mouse entering his home. He smirked and slumped down fully clothed on his bed, attempting to get some respite from an exhausting night of unethical scientific discovery. He laughed to himself. He knew so little about what he was talking about in reality. He faded away into sleep.
I have not read it as of yet, but I'm just going to say Paragraphs Please before I start. edit: I'm no great writer myself but there are far too many words there to say far too few things. Description is great in writing, but it should be primarily information the reader gathers from characters actions, not all blankly stated out to them (particularly multiple times in varying words over multiple sentences in a row, which seems to be something you've done multiple times. Try re-reading your own work and parsing it down.)
Two quick things from tonight. Second is a rough concept that I'll start painting soon.

Thanks guys!
There's really no part of a weapon that has a 'lever' that you can move with your thumb, let alone another 'separate position' You could cock a hammer (unnecessary on most modern double-action semi-auto firearms) thumb or flip or even toggle (if you're feeling adventurous) a safety, but that's pretty much it. No levers to be pulled back of any kind. If you're attempting to be artistically ambiguous, your efforts instead serve to make you sound unknowledgeable about firearms. If you must be so vague and waffly about it, try 'selector' instead, if you are in fact referring to the safety. I doubt it's possible to 'subtly discuss' a theory, back to the thesaurus with you. In general I would say I think you're putting far too much emphasis on purple prose and not enough emphasis on character or action, because you basically have some person who has been vaguely characterized going off into manic paragraphs of exposition almost right out of the gate, preceded by clumsy, pointlessly vague descriptions of what would be otherwise a decent action with which to kickstart a story.
Not being knowledgeable about firearms is a good thing. gun waffle posts are so fucking boring it's not gun chat that doesn't deserve a thread chaseymusica, read lots and lots of books and try again
