Last one is right, they are all Silvia's though.
well i see it now but the first 2 still resemble the r32 and integra more than the s13 and s14, the s14 especially, show some grille come on
Guys
That's like my graphic arts lab at school, except we have the cintiqs beside the normal monitors
Guys
on my way
Guys
I'm so jealous... Our animation module doesn't have tablets of any sort so we can never do work in class. For some unknown reason the Fashion students have Intuos 4s. Our new animation teacher is rather pissed, as are we. You don't understand the level of jelly I am feeling.. Where do you study anyway?
School of Visual arts. They just opened the new lab for Illustration and Cartooning students with Cintiqs. All the other majors have tablets and a few cintiqs here and there. I think sva has 5 big computer labs in 4 different locations. Im guessing theyll make us pay more for the department fee per semester now... Also after having used the cintiq (22") for about an hour ive decided i NEED one (sometime in the near future)
Ugh, that's just making me feel more motivated to buy the Huion G220 :v: A Cintiq would be great but it'd cost half my savings as opposed to a quarter. Hrmmmm.
Just remember that an important part of having a monitor tablet is also having a good computer. My friend recently bought a 13 inch cintiq (i have no idea why...) and is trying to use it on his old pos laptop and its kind of slow and unresponsive. I'm somewhat tempted to get a companion just cause I can travel and draw on it outside, but at the same time drawing on a 13" monitor would be unbearable and having a setup at home would be much more important. I can't wait for the day I buy a 22 or 24" :v: You can read some good reviews for the Huion and Monoprice monitor here tablets http://frenden.com/tagged/review
Yeah, the Frenden review is one of the main reasons I'm seriously considering it. My desktop is definitely beefy enough ; hoping I'd be able to run it alongside my dual monitor setup. A year or so ago I bought a £1000 laptop expecting it to be sufficient for photoshop and anything more than a small doodle and it slows to a halt. Feel thoroughly let down by that machine, when my £800 desktop rig has literally never given me any performance issues, whatsoever. Laptops. :suicide:
Just know this is their current improved version of the GT220. If you get it I might start seriously considering it too, or maybe ill wait for their next model.
I know your pain, I forked out nearly £900 on a Laptop last year and it's already crapping out. Photoshop performance was never that great and over time it got worse.. Drawing would be a task with anything other than the default brush and it would lag behind. Got myself a rig this year but due to my first lot of bills coming in I got sent deep into my overdraft.. This better be worth it! Also I'd love a companion but even Huions are out of reach for me right now! I kinda need to learn to draw too - I just like the idea of having the benefits of Digital Painting alongside a monitor tablet because it makes it easier to translate techniques back to paper. Am I wrong or right in thinking that?
Do we know if there's any new models in the horizon? If there's one on its way in less than 6 months I'll probably hold off (especially since Huion seems to be a fan of preorders & that sort of thing :v: ) [editline]14th November 2014[/editline] Thiiiiiiiis close to hitting the order button. For some reason at the checkout it's calculated -£88.97 so the whole thing is only £500. I'll sleep on it.

As for laptops I have a Sony VAIO i bought for like $400 from someone and it runs photoshop really well with no lagging at all even with texture brushes and stuff like that. The only thing is the horrid tn panel screen which I'm still debating between bother to replace it with a custom one or just wait to buy a new laptop later on.
£900 on a Laptop
That seems a hilarious asking price for a laptop maybe it's just me but really??
u wot m9? There are laptops that cost $2000-$4000 USD and people buy them all the time, for gaming, general use, or even autocad/workstation applications. I got one from school several years ago that retailed around $2000, had an i5 and some mobile GPU, could run BF3 on low at around 50-60FPS, butter smooth with photoshop and I even did some 3D rendering and was pleasantly surprised. Likewise my Dad works for Cray (american supercomputer stuff) and he has a laptop that costs quite a pretty penny that he can use for mobile fluid dynamics engineering and simulation
guess I just hate laptops haha single small screens and fiddly bullshit keyboards
makeo are your retard? not only is any laptop worth its salt capable of utilizing multiple monitors with VGA, DVI, and HDMI outputs (again my dad uses the main screen and an additional 1080p IPS monitor) but you can more than easily get a bluetooth or even a wired keyboard and your laptop is still more portable than anything but the smallest of weaksauce horsepower-restrictive ATX PC cases and personally I love the short travel distance of laptop keyboards, it makes them much quieter and personally I find the flat keycaps make typing easier and smoother for me
The satisfaction of hitting chiclet keys is the reason I bought this funky Razer keyboard.
Are you really going to drag along extra monitors and keyboards and mice and shit on the bus and wherever? make pls stop what is your proposed alternative for having a portable computer that can run windows? you can't run 3ds max, maya, after effects, etc on a tablet m8, there's literally no alternative and no, i'm not bringing an extra monitor or keyboard around with me because i aint no lil bitch who can't cope with the screen and keyboard. back in the day i did sometimes bring a graphire tablet in my bag with me but I guess that makes me a fuckin loser eh #rekt #spacekaboom
aaaaa find yourself a girl mate :v:
wow rude makeo always graceful in defeat
my proposed alternative is having a computer in your house I guess I don't really get what you're arguing about now, the guy spent like 1400USD on a laptop that COULDN'T run PS well, let alone any of that other shit. That seems like a lot of money for something not very good. Am I wrong?? maybe it's all over my head but it seems like he got ripped off to me but m8 my dad something something i'll spell your name wrong lol *shows off by listing different types of cables for some reason*
wats going on

So yes, you're correct about that, but you said it like you think there's no reason to own a nice laptop ever c. i keep talking about my dad because he has a nice laptop to do important and demanding work, thus is a good example of a legit reason to own a laptop. he travels often, is a smart guy, also my dad is cool and nice etc <3 u dad love u <3 <3 d. i listed the different "cables" because you seemed to think that a laptop couldn't output to a normal monitor, so i listed all of the different monitor compatibilities most laptops have. i dont see a problem with that, you could consider not being a douche about someone trying to provide you with information e. i'm spelling your name wrong because you're usually a cool guy who tells people what they need to hear and i respect that, but you're a bit of a twat when you try to look cool by making a stupid assertion that you can't really back up and someone has the nerve to disagree with you and have an serious discussion about it. you've done a lot more ad hominem trying to make me look stupid and acting like you're too cool to care than saying anything substantial and honestly it's pretty disappointing [editline]14th November 2014[/editline]
wats going on
not much bb, what r u wearing?
my laptop retailed for $950 a year or two ago and it runs ps and 3ds just fine. i don't actually do any of it on the laptop though because the screen is just really bad and low resolution and the colors are not good [editline]14th November 2014[/editline] i also bought a win8.1 tablet and it tried to run both photoshop and 3ds max but photoshop was really slow throughout and 3ds max was alright i guess until it crashed out because it went over the memory limit [editline]14th November 2014[/editline] ideapad y580 for reference. the one with the 15in 1366x768 screen. gross
There are some gaming laptops that aren't too pricey that have pretty good displays and high resolutions, but they're usually really chunky and have huge power bricks. And there are even 4k laptops for people who really want it, seems a bit overkill for me though.
Guys
And i still use my 3 years old bamboo. Still fits my unfussy needs though.
