i just want to say i totally was the original guy who started a shitstorm disagreeing with mako where is my medal Also mako you should still post work sometimes, even if you don't need help with what to improve on, (though people could still come up with suggestions that you might not have considered) there's nothing wrong with sharing just for the sake of it

(see shit like these: http://i.gyazo.com/ebe8d0f90dc4bccdd5f388ed69b3f98b.jpg http://imgur.com/0hzSGPl,IWz90gB,Rbzo0aP,PYDFWy7#0) So I could use colour but not terribly well, I could draw form without ref kinda, I could get a composition together but it was never exciting and so on and so forth. I wasn't completely failing in any aspect but every aspect was really hit and miss because basically I was just having a stab at it each time and hoping for the best. So this year I've been doing nothing fancy like that, no pieces at all, just fundamentals pretty much the whole time. I still have a long way to go with doing so actually but as I said I'll be doing some paintings again soon and hopefully you'll see a drastic improvement.
Some random idea I had while in a class about Industrial design. [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/UYkSwP1.jpg[/img_thumb] (Huge picture, click at your own risk) I only seem to get concept ideas in class for some reason :v:
that's not a very good idea man
Why? It is extremely practical and multipurposed. You can swing it around, or disable a person's movement by trapping them between the legswords. And when you're tired, you just put it on the floor and have a nice drink while sitting on your chair

Saw Big Hero 6 yesterday! Baymax is probably one of my all-time favorite characters now so I had to draw it

[t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/30622781/illustration_personal1.jpg[/t] Haven't posted in a long time. About to finish up with my degree next semester and get the hell out of college at long last. This is a part of my final for my illustration class.
I think you should get rid of the black lines if you want that to punch
First time posting here and I don't usually do this kind of stuff (never know what to do) but felt like showing off this Transistor themed Rainmeter skin pack with visualizer that I made. Screenie: [t]http://fc08.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2014/334/0/2/_rainmeter___visualizer__transistor_v1_0_by_thebabbie-d883gos.png[/t] Also feed me opinions.
Honest opinion? Looks flippin awesome. My suggestion would be to thicken up the black outerline on the clock or remove it altogether.

[t]http://puu.sh/dcLQe/eb0703f802.png[/t] [t]http://puu.sh/dcLQX/9f33ccb823.png[/t] It's as thick as the inner circles on the meters now. Also, does anyone know some free recording software I could use to show off the visualizer? [editline] afds [/editline] I think I prefer the thinner outline, it's more like in the Transistor as well.
I draw since I was 6 [sp]I'm 14 now[/sp] [T]http://i.imgur.com/Gg2xapw.jpg[/t] I decided to draw Curly because she is one of my favorite video game chracters and honestly she is pretty fun to draw. I'm now trying to improve so I need some criticism.
Haven't posted here in a while, believe it or not, in that time frame I still haven't progressed much in terms of rendering, only recently have I started making progress. I recommend keeping your pencil nice and sharp all the time too. Lined paper is pretty crappy looking and crappy to draw on, get a sketchbook or maybe printer paper if a sketchbook is still a scary idea. That way you can throw away anything you hate immediately, don't have to commit to a sketchbook page. also if you want to improve, learn to measure and start drawing simple objects at a larger scale than you're comfortable with
Long time I don't post here, currently re-doing the character for the little game and I'm trying to go for a good and strong color scheme even if it comes off as a little unrealistic, but I'm not sure which version works best, I'm trying to avoid green and purple since those are going to be used in another characters. I think I like the 1 and 3 and the version I like the least is the 2. The other character for comparison is based on green, black and white. The whole problem I have with the characters youre making for your game is that they are viewed from the back the most, if not the whole time. Yet all the eyecandy appears to be on the front. For example the hair of the female character reads as a blob when viewed from the back. Other than that, youre making a gorgeous looking game and doing great work.

Working with hair is actually one of the toughest parts of the model for me, it's a fine line between making it look like hair and making it fit with the rest of the model, there were various iterations until we felt that style fit with the game but I tend to agree with your critique.
I like number 2 the most imo, the extra colour makes it look more vibrant and easier to read. [editline]2nd December 2014[/editline] Also it would fit seeing as the second character's colour scheme uses a similar colour to her eye.
