Some pieces don't need to give you everything on a plate if they're just personal work, also some pieces are intended to be viewed with the title under them. if it was part of a story and it was vital that we understand through visual cues alone the relationship there he would have work to do, but as sketch for an idea there's nothing wrong with it. great costume design, also the concept of the fruit tree being a tiny vulnerable sapling is very strong.
Finished another minimalist-ish VG movie poster in Illustrator. I traced over Skull Face for the front, the quote is from him in GZ and the title splash was live traced from the highest res picture I could find of the title. The quote font I chose Helvetica for because people were saying that that was the font used in MGS' codec. [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/V3Bfrkv.png[/thumb] Criticism/critiques on how I could improve it would be awesome.

whats with the aberration?

There's a time and place for that chromatic aberration. You only really see aberration around the edges of a camera image - try a DK2 occulus rift or watch some amateur skater footage shot with a fisheye. You'd also only really see it in an image created by a camera. The human eye gets a tiny bit (open a white document in Photoshop, hold your finger up to the screen and manually defocus your eyes - you'll see that one edge of your finger has a red tint to it and the other doesn't - this is light bending due to diffraction). If your painting is a sci-fi painting that would have been taken by a camera in the universe it displays, then sure, use it. But very subtly and only near the edges. For an image that's obviously supposed to look more like a traditional painting I wouldn't bother at all.

You can see CA everywhere even without any cameras (you have to be on acid though).
like where?
Bullshit. You can see CA everywhere even without any cameras (you have to be on acid though).
you can see people wearing fabric that modulates between leopard print and plaid when you're on acid too doesn't mean it's a good idea for your art Edit: you can disagree all you want. The only thing that's going to make you a good artist is if you learn to accept criticism. You can think about criticism and dismiss it where necessary, but in this case I can assure you that for anything that could have a wide audience, what you've done with chromatic aberration is objectively undesirable

Not done any art in a long while, but I got bored revising for maths earlier and did a picture of Cyclops from Vol.3 of the All-New X-men series when he suddenly starts wearing my favourite costume in the series so far. Sorry for the shitty phone quality.
cyctops
p sure that's just lcd subpixel shenanigans dude, try it with a diffuse light source and you won't get that
Nope! Try it with any light source. When there's diffraction there's a bending of light, and different wavelengths bend at different rates. You'll often see red/blue differences if you look at the way light interacts with things
cyctops
haha i know but i went too far with the serifs and just thought fuck it why not he's oc now
wheres that costume from? x force?
Couldn't say, he just randomly puts it on for the last page of issue #15 of the All-New X-Men. I really only started reading the comics a couple of days ago.
Something I drew a few years ago when I actually liked drawing and doodling. I've stoped drawing as much, I probably could have gotten better if I was motivated.
Watched the latest FZD video and decided to try the technique out, sans photos

Bash that I did today, related to a project were getting next week. Actually really happy with it, I've never done a bash before but I just used what I knew about texture editing and applied that and I think it ended up working quite well. Crits? By the way, did you make this in sketchup or something?

good morning guys
Thought these were as polished as I needed to make them, then I saw them on my Facebook and realised they're still too rough hmm

doodle doodly do it was originally a spitpaint but i went over the 30 min limit by like 15 minutes cause i kept playing with colors.
