How's this?
The biggest problem with her looking older might just be the style of the clothes. The pant legs could be made narrower because kids usually have skinny limbs, thus jeans/sweatpants (or whatever she's wearing) and such are narrower. Right now it looks as if she's wearing lazy mom sweatpants, and the little horizontal line at the crotch area makes it look like she's beginning to form a fupa (fat upper pelvic area). If you look at the kids apparel from Gap or American Eagle and compare it to your average mom sweatpants you'll probably see what I'm talking about
Do you have a background in the industry? The amount of work you produce is so high it certainly looks like you're used to having to do a lot of these.
No, I just draw for fun, I am a programmer, well studying to be one.
jesus [editline]15th May 2013[/editline] you're the definition of natural talent
jesus [editline]15th May 2013[/editline] you're the definition of natural talent
I'd be more inclined to say he's got the skill from very admirable work ethic

This isn't really art, but could one of you wise wizards alter this gif to make it less than a megabyte?

Happy Mike Dell "Wants You" to buy his stuff. Usually I don't, but if it is some celebrity (like Mike Dell :) ) I look at the forms and face structure etc...I guess we all have alot of images in our heads and memory, of the world around us that we have gathered throughout our life. I prefer to just sketch from memory, but if it is something I have difficulty with, I just look at nature if the thing I am after exist. I just do it for fun, so I don't spend that much time on this.
Dunno why I didn't think of this but here's my flickr, its got all my art on it. http://www.flickr.com/photos/90309616@N03/

Posting after the last page feels inadequate haha. Practicing faces woo woo. Half-referenced this one, next time I'll do a photo study. [t]http://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1835520/FACE1.png[/t]

[t]http://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1835520/FACE1.png[/t]
I think the eyes need to be slightly closer to the nose, make sure the nose is straight (right now it's slanting) and that the nostrils are symmetrical, and make sure the eyes are symmetrical too, I think. Same goes for the eyebrows, they probably don't need to be *that* thick, and make sure both are consistent with each other in size.
What do you think? [Img_thumb]http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7285/8742400998_332c6cfcb3.jpg[/img_thumb] It's a painting i made, it uses the Fibonacci numbers, and it's supposed to be a sunflower.
No, I just draw for fun, I am a programmer, well studying to be one.
You could "easily" live off of drawing. But then I guess the fun in it would vanish as well.
Do you do the lineart first and then shade? I really like how you shade the drawings.
doing 100 master studies. 50 values only, 50 colour gonna simplify the rest of the value studies to roughly only 3 tones

Like record your sketching with camtasia and speed it up afterwards. I'd love to see that because your work is just phenomenal and I want to see how you work, sorta.
Since they are all skill levels, I would drop the s, it makes it that bit harder to figure out with it there, and easier to see at a glance without, since the s doesnt really add anything. I would personally not shove everything in the left corner, move the skills and bars over, and move the name and class down. It make it easier to glance at, being in the middle of the screen closer to where everything can be assumed to happen, and should make it looks less cluttered since it isn't shoved all in that one spot with empty space by the rest.
Cleaned it up a bit I think.
