I like it, but I think the heavy reflective light on the upper right rocks is unrealistic, rocks aren't that reflective.
It is actually because specularity increases greatly at sharp angles such as that [editline]22nd May 2013[/editline]
They are superly near the water so I guess they could be wet? On Toastador's paintover: I personally don't like the moon's reflection on the water. The way it is painted makes the water looks muddy, calm due to lack of highlights and the brush is too soft.
yea realistically the reflection off the surface would be near the luminescence of the moon itself

Huh? So how do you do this with coffee?
Huh? So how do you do this with coffee?
Very carefully
coffee is 4 drinkin r u crazy
no no it is like lcd tabs you soak the art in the coffee then you eat the art afterwards
Huh? So how do you do this with coffee?
Hahaha, Well, its that coffee that comes in weird powdery granules, then I just added a lil bit of water. First I looked at the picture and picked out all the mid-tones, then put the darkest shade in over the top of all the coffee. Its a great way to practice tonal drawing, especially when drawing nude models and stuff.
no no it is like lcd tabs you soak the art in the coffee then you eat the art afterwards
i did 10 hits of coffee and im freakin the fuck out help
This is cool. How quickly does it dry?
If you only use a little bit it dries in a few minutes. It has roughly the same consistency of water colours.
no no it is like lcd tabs you soak the art in the coffee then you eat the art afterwards
That sounds like it'd be some interesting performance art or interactive art.
now that youve done coffee next up is painting like watecolor with bong water actually maybe that idea is a little half baked
Anyone mind giving me a link to their square paint brushes? Chesty or Mako? I bought this set from Frenden but it only works with PS CS5+ and i'm still using CS4 :(
I don't use brush packs or anything, just defaults Dunno the differences in PS versions too well but in the brush selection dropdown can you see a little cog/other icon in the top corner? Should be tonnes of brush sets hidden in there, just pick one and hit Append Apologies if that isn't the deal in CS4, maybe someone else can help in that case

It still looks a tad too dark, though. I could hardly see anything in there
It still looks a tad too dark, though. I could hardly see anything in there
I worked on it on my home computer, and thought the brightness was fine. I brought it into a school computer, and it was far too dark. I brought it back home, and I had made it far too light so basically fuck monitors
Summer time! Doodlin' away. The finished version should be on my dA and my tumblr soon.

I don't know if that'll fix it but might be worth a shot
