That expressionless face is just... somehow amazing.
Nyeh, getting a well calibrated screen will just assure you that the colours you see are the most correct as possible, it will not assure you a most accurate results across other screens, because other screens got different calibrations and supports different colour-ranges.
Some screens are very green, others yellow, some have a strong tint of blue, others red. Some screens are very bright, others are very dark, some screens show the cold spectrum better, others show the warm spectrum better. An image will be seen differently on every monitor ever (even if they are the same model).
However, if you make sure to save your images in the sRGB color profile, then you can bet your ass that pretty much every monitor will be able to see the whole spectrum of colours in the image (with their own un-calibrated differences I've already covered), of course, at the loss of more colours to choose from, especially non-vibrant ones. It will usually make your image more saturated, but you will also assure that more people will see it like you do.
I should also have mentioned that if you're working in a professional environment (concept artist at a game/film company, etc) then I think they'd all be using calibrated screens for consistency in their workflow. While it might not be essential right now to calibrate to a standard, it's definitely going to become more and more important if you get into the industry

Those things are pretty solid. I used one for around 5 years and it STILL works
I didn't even take good care of it either.
Neither haha
I hate the scroll-wheel thing though. I much preferred the one on the Graphire 4 which functioned more like the one on a mouse, only wider

I made this.
If I were to paint the bottom of my skateboard would you guys suggest i sand it first, put a layer of gesso, paint with acrylic, and then coat with a finish to keep it waterproof/ from deteriorating? What sort of finish or coat should I use at the end? I've never tried this before.
Testing my new brushes.

Still pretty much a work in progress but I'm outta ideas for the background. More scarabs and warriors, maybe? Might add in colours to make it look a lot more Necron-y.

How do find colouring with oil? Easier than water colour or...?

They're just different. It's a world filled with small societies where everyone knows everywhone and there's Utopia and shit.

Is that a photo or a scan? It'd be nice to see brighter whites in the sky to give it some gradient variety.
It's definitely a photo. There's an unusual blur on the left side, which occurs alot when I use my iPhone cam.

I have to say, I've never done what you're aiming to do, but I think that's how you'd go about it.

You wont like doing it an hour later either, so do it now and you'll love past-tense you.
Turn dealing with problems into an habit. Can't say I've completely managed that but I'm working on it too.
Haven't visited this thread in some weeks and I come back and feel like crying. Must turn envy into motivation :v:
Was digging through my Deviantart and I found this..

way different than water color. it's more like acrylic but it takes days+ to dry so you can just keep pushing the paint around. I'm finding it difficult to get nice soft transitions though so I need more practice.
