whoa, what'd you use to make these in? looks like paint but could be easily mistaken
You are not mistaken. Almost everything I make is with Paint and a wireless mouse.
Does anyone know if only CS5+ have tilt control for tablets?
i don't know exactly what this means but i do know that adobe released their cs5/6 drivers for the surface not too long ago... so maybe?
Does anyone know if only CS5+ have tilt control for tablets?
My version of CS2 has pen tilt.
oh wait did he mean pen tablets and not 'tablets'

The only stuff I can draw myself are these.
Ellen Page, Beyond: Two Souls?
Nah, I made it while I was on the phone :v:
Studying leg anatomy for a few days has really paid off.. now for hands :(
this page owns
this page owns
the funny thing is, most of the drawings were "doodles" they're trying mock us too shit yo I can't even doodle a circle :v:
I try not to say "sketch" or "doodle" as it annoys me when incredible artists label their masterpieces as mere sketches or doodles :v:

Reminds me of the 2D stickman battles i used to draw as a kid.
Reminds me of the 2D stickman battles i used to draw as a kid.
When I was in 2nd grade, we had a small amount of time at the beginning of class devoted to this kind of thing - kids had journals and they could write and draw in them for about ten minutes. One kid used to do epic stickman battles, and you could tell because he'd narrate the fucking things while he was drawing them.
i like to think that im one of those kids, except i stuck with it i never let go of my affinity for large scale, spacial events that's part of the reason Lawrence of Arabia is my favourite movie [editline]][/editline] Okay gents, I also have a serious question. I'm a linework guy, as you can probably tell from my sketches. However, when I digitally paint, I go for mass and value. While I think that's a good exercise, anybody have any ideas for utilizing linework better in photoshop? The obvious solution is to put a linework layer over a paint layer, but are there any other approaches you guys know of? Thanks
drawing cute anime girls is my favorite thing [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/13290261/IMG_20130530_142833.jpg[/t]

Thanks
for a lot of my linework, I'll actually do some weird massing hybrid instead of drawing the actual line. Rough linework, then using an eraser to carve away at it to get the shape I guess that qualifies as "massing out negative space" or something, I dunno the only time I can do direct linework is if I'm using Paint Tool SAI. between the stabilization (which I keep rather low) and the way it handles pressure, I prefer it far above photoshop on a number of grounds have a terribly proportioned thingy I scribbled earlier today at work using the binary pen (pixel brush) in SAI didn't give much sense of depth, his right hand was intended to be behind him like he's walking/strutting but lack of shading doesn't help binary b/w all that well just imagine Aladdin's goofy face on there and all deformity is forgiven
oh wait did he mean pen tablets and not 'tablets'
I don't think tilt would be that helpful for tablets unless they were going for a paint dripping simulator..
etch a sketch simulator
Might have found a 12" cintiq for $100 y/n?
12 inches is way too small a screen to be able to work efficiently on. i mean, not only is 12 inches small enough for a monitor already, but youre gonna have your hand cover up a lot of it and then the photoshop UI takes up a good bit of space too. svae up for like the 24 inch one or something.
Might have found a 12" cintiq for $100 y/n?
snip thought you said intuos at first wait, a cintiq?? jesus what model is it given you can swap to using the cintiq monitor as a tablet for another screen as well, it may as well be worth it. If it's an old beat up model it may not be worth the cash though. I'd say save up a bit and get a newer model down the line
To put it in perspective, to buy one brand new in my country it's around $1500, and the cheapest I've seen a second hand one was $500 haha, so even if it's got a scratch or two I'd still see it as a worthwhile investment I'd only be using it for line drawing really, so the loss of an immediately accessible Photoshop interface isn't an issue. I've already got two screens set up, but I wouldn't mind swapping one out when I needed to do line art; if I really needed to I could map my bamboo to my main screen and keep Photoshop open on that, saving the Cintiq for an individual Photoshop canvas window I believe it's this model http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B003D1TUFE In other news I'm picking up a 19" CRT to replace my dodgy-vga-cable 17" - shit is gonna make my desk sag in the middle
child study didn't turn out looking much like the ref but I learned a lot
child study didn't turn out looking much like the ref but I learned a lot
You seem to pet your lines an awful lot. This is most obvious near the chin and collar. Despite being a study there doesn't seem to be much here other than lines. The face itself is almost completely unshaded. E: After flipping it seems to me like her shoulders are too narrow for her head but that could just be me.
