that chasis looks like it would be hard to use as an ifv. unless the turret is absolutely huge it looks like there's not enough head height to sit down in there also it's very very wide which would be difficult for urban stuff and non-combat transport situations (ie. transit down legal civilian roads)
Trying out Grafx2, since I don't want to download MSPaintXP because I think it's a virus and the site looks shady as fuck. i was inspired to draw him because of his new video game
Website sketched me out pretty hard too but I went for it a few months back and no viruses found lol
Question - I can draw pretty well from references but it takes me ages. A drawing of a hand or a face will be 40+ minutes. How do I get less slow? Just practice? edit: content, ~25 mins The end of the eraser's perspective looks weird but that's genuinely the shape it's been worn into.

It's an unwieldy technique and the results are never pleasant to look at, and it doesn't often mimic the way light and shadow behaves in real life very well. (Sorry if they aren't smudged, they do look like it in the picture but if I could see clearer I might be mistaken) [editline]1st June 2013[/editline]
blahblah art
Do be aware of posting shitty content, it's totally cool if you're starting out and want to get crit and develop your stuff, but with something like this it's clear as day you haven't tried at all.

But regarding your question, it really does just take lots of practice. From my own experience something like this: takes around ~20min for me, a year ago it took about over an hour. I don't know how it's going to work for you, but judging from that image you've got very good technical skills so I think you're golden, just keep practicing.
I'm a linework guy, as you can probably tell from my sketches. However, when I digitally paint, I go for mass and value. While I think that's a good exercise, anybody have any ideas for utilizing linework better in photoshop? The obvious solution is to put a linework layer over a paint layer, but are there any other approaches you guys know of? Thanks
When you say utilising linework, do you mean to aid your paintings? in which case the obvious answer is to start with a linework sketch and then paint over it. Otherwise, just consider that digital work isn't limited to painting at all. Make a nice pencily brush in PS and then draw with it as you would traditionally, if producing linework art digitally is all you want.

Built and painted a quick globe for one of our school's global studies teacher who retired yesterday. It's kind of fun to paint on something other than a flat canvas. I never tried paper mache before either. Wish I had more time to paint it though (had to paint it in like 4 hours)
I saw Hentie's animated pixel art post and I thought I'd post something I made a while back. For Christmas, I made a game called Raining Snow, in which you avoid the snow and collect the presents. I made some gameboy-esque music for it, an entire pixel sprite based font, hearts for health, and an animated little man. It's made in a very retro style. You can download the game (which includes all of the media in png format if you are interested in looking at it) here: http://jallenbah.co.uk/rainingsnow.php As for some media, here is the 16px tall running man, enlarged to 64px so he's not tiny here: Video showing the whole game:

I dunno, got the feeling I had to draw something... so a deformed skull it was.

I wanted to recreate Jacket with the Richard mask from Hotline Miami. Haven't really done anything like this before, so I'd like some advice/tips/whatever... I know I still need to work on the feathers around the mask. I suppose this would be a reference:

The first impact came out of nowhere, Los Angeles disappeared in a flash - millions of lives lost and in the process of losing, some laboring to die last. At first there was confusion - A meteor from space! Some other distant threat coming to wipe out the human race.. It's a fallacy though, the threat is near. Among these groups of human enemies that we strangled as we held them dear. When we are raining bombs innocent men, who wouldn't expect a little retaliation? Lives cut short by political strife; a little muscle applied here or there. Without caring we destroy a life and leave the rest to survive with a brand new grudge - we are the reason they judge. As the fallout dusted skies begin to blow, we're at a loss for as to who started this row. We'll blame their gods, their cultures, and their beliefs for all of the hate that comes back around after the next election - always a little too late.

If you could focus on something else, I could work on other aspects of it other than that my rhymes make my work appear childish and flippant to you.

[t]http://i.imgur.com/yIcg4wK.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/HTLPHOQ.jpg[/t] I got back into drawing again not long ago. I used to be a lot better but I stopped for a year or two so this is the best I can do now, sadly.

(upper left giant area is where the game screen is, bottom is message log, right area is menu, hotbar, stats, etc. Layout suggestions accepted too) also a grass area tileset, walls, two flowers, and items.
