Alrighty, I'll have to watch your FA though since I don't use inkbunny. Is it widely used?
Inkbunny is starting to get big, but I do update my FA.
just because you "strictly do SFW artwork" doesn't mean you shouldn't study human anatomy in order to improve

I don't draw porn, it wasn't an excuse to defend my terrible anatomy in those drawings.

blimps remind me of zeppelins
zeppelins remind me of the hindenburg disaster

moodboard for Junior animation final coming up this/next year. Just preparing over the summer. I'm not quite into the way the barbarian is lit.

closer.
Well the blue thing is pretty generic and uninteresting and low-contrast; right now either of those two closer structures are your focal point due to their detail and sharpness (and you're better of that way I think)
Your comp would be nice if it weren't quite so symmetrical. I don't think the left structure is inherently an issue.

Thanks man, I meant to reply to this 100 years ago but uni has been on my butt all week and I haven't had time. I have had time to do more design work so I'll be posting that soon!
Re: your critty crit;
The blue thing was supposed to be a relatively interesting form, but I can sort of see how it's not. I'm not sure if it /needs/ work to alter that - I mean there's no definite concept at work here so whatever imaginary narrative it's trying to support could be calling for a relatively plain structure. Of course, if I take the project further that'll be worked out.
Lack of contrast in that building is due to distance; you make me realise that I need to support this by adding smaller buildings around its base to really push it back in relation to the foreground.
I think I agree with your comment on the comp; if there was some foreground element to hold a gaze on that distant building and therefore set up a 'confrontation' between them then a centralised composition would work, but as a basic environment painting maybe it doesn't work
No it is clear that it's distant, I was just pointing out the low contrast as a contrary factor if you wanted the viewer to be drawn to that structure; i.e it ain't gonna happen if you have larger darker more resolved shapes like the two buildings in the midground

I gotta think about that for a bit when I'm not so busy before I answer it. Thanks for the reply man!

Hello CWTDDAT,
I've currently developing a tactical RPG for the PC for the past 4 months. Progress is going pretty well and the game is almost playable. And I think I will have a pretty good chance at selling some copies down the road. If any of you artists want to get in on this, feel free to pm me and I'll show you what I got so far and what I want the finish projected to look like.
Could use a sprite artist and someone who will make the font page/banner/title art. Or even idea guys, because feedback is always in demand.
And posting a pretty recent screenshot just because.

By 'idea guys' do you mean people who will come up with ideas and designs for objects in the game (vehicles, buildings, etc)?

Sure yeah, could use some ideas on races, weapons, game mechanics etc.

Why are you mixing resolutions, it' looks really terrible.
Try to make one sprite resolution and stick to it and not have the sizes all over the place.
You might also want to change the green "Stm" bar, it's the same as the acid grass so it blends in.

All sprite sizes are 32x32. What you are seeing is higher elevations and the brown is the temp cliff texture. Each elevation increases the height by 16 pixels.

Disagree because...?
I disagree your choices of mixed res and colors
i also do not support clouds shouting at other clouds.
