Make wip pixel art. Make it 300% size. Thumb it so it goes back to thumbnail size. What am I doing. [t]http://filesmelt.com/dl/redcarrier_large.png[/t]
thingies I cant tell how big they are on my phone so I'll resize them later if need be.
Ok, so that's one excuse and a dumb rule all in one single sentence. There is no reason you couldn't draw it later and there is no reason you couldn't have a ruler with you. You're limiting your approach to art with your own vision on what is and what isn't appropriate to use. I mean, it's ok to say "I don't want to use a ruler for this piece because I want more organic and handmade lines" but to say "I don't want to use a ruler because it goes against my vision of how proper drawings are made" is just a silly little restriction in your head you should throw away, you're limiting your approach to art thus also limiting your creative possibilities and results. You can throw limits on a set piece, but you should never throw limits on art itself.
I mean not use a ruler because I do like to practice straight lines and the organic look too, if youre really using it to draw lines and not just as a guideline. And I did talk with my teacher about the grade he gave me. He said that I could draw, but I wasn't drawing in my full potential (aka getting lazy) [editline]13th June 2013[/editline] and the using too many lines thing was actually about the drawings of buildings and all that, not the drawing of people that I first assumed. And yeah everything is cleared, I just have to try harder.
I love watching this thread before I start working, it's a great warmup anyways, here's some sketches I made while I was out and about made this one while I was drunk, drew some random people and then was asked to draw a photorealistic eye (with the wrong kind of marker and drunk) and a horse :v:

I really like the glass ball drawings, I think it's a very smart thing to practice.
Could use some help here
At the moment your sketch looks much younger than the reference, pay attention to the features that add age, the receding hairline, cheekbones, baggy eyes, etc. Why did you choose to create a new lighsource, that adds a fair amount of challenge if you're not very savvy on facial planes.

Perspective, my friend; that right eye (his left) is too far up his face. Also eyebrows, where are you?

Glad to help.
Perspective, my friend; that right eye (his left) is too far up his face. Jesus jumping christ, what the fuck is with Zazzle. Okay, I report the products that have my stuff on it. Later I find that there are more products with my art on it, BY THE SAME PERSON. Lawsuit time. http://www.zazzle.com/pele_iphone_5_cases-179405366599503234 http://www.zazzle.com/peles_blessings_macbook_pro_sleeves-204693010808408327
How can I make my drawing so it's not... wobbly? How well did I paint it?

Practice, fast confident brush strokes, and more practice. Your painting is very 'meh' and undeveloped and it's unclear why style you're going for. If it's vector and clean lines, you're using the wrong medium, and if it's a painting, your brush strokes are too insecure and foggy, there have been a lot of discussions in this thread about using blending and large brushes to create a more 'proper painting look'. Another thing you're sorely lacking is contrast. It's very evident (or appears very much so) that you've not had much experience as you've defined your shapes with lines instead of value, and the actual shading itself is very shallow. Basically if you aim to make paintings you'll need to shift away from relying on outlining shapes and instead increase your range of dark and light in the actual 'painting' part of the image. I'm sure someone else will be able to explain it with more finesse, I'm not the best painter myself. [editline]14th June 2013[/editline] Made an account and reported.
I disagree; second link, reviews down the bottom pertaining to the design
I disagree; second link, reviews down the bottom pertaining to the design
I'm just saying that there are literally a thousand reviews for each product so I doubt it would do much good, not to mention it's not as much a review of the design as it is of the case/sleeve itself. I'll revise my statement to "it might not have much effect but might as well"
A quick 48"x48" painting I did with a friend on the last day of school to hang up in one of the hallways. She didn't exactly spend enough time drawing it out so it looks wonky imo but whatever. I'm doing another 48"x48" painting of the earth for the science hallway next week... and then I can say I'm officially done with high school yay.
the eyes look a liiitle bit too big, other than that it looks freakin rad
Money is the ultimate contradiction Good people hurt by others sins It can't buy love A unique feeling that comes from above But yet it does keep us entertained Problems arise when it is put prior to sustaining The difference between need and want Don't go about your wealth and how you flaunt In the end you can only obtain so much Such as the prostitute you just fucked Being knowledgeable is much more valuable It may or may not be apart of your soul Being able to effectively use a loophole Yet still abiding by the rules Prostitution is obviously illegal In my opinion it is extremely meager Yet if I had someone video our sexual activities It's perfectly legal People subconscious of their greed Never doing that good deed Feeling of superiority Yet the irony is they are the inferior Evaluating materialistic items Over unfathomable feelings Like my page! ---> www.fb.com/bryanthepoet

Too political/pretentious without enough artistic merit to back it up.

God, I'm having the hardest time ever figuring out when you should sketch before painting and how much detail you have to put in it, I always get stuck on a painting with this, I just don't know how to approach adding details. [editline]14th June 2013[/editline] Like I can never finish anything because of that
-pics- wip shit
Really like the perspective building pictures and the angular landscape. What sort of pen did you use?
