Carbonmade actually looks pretty pro if you're not looking to display a whole ton of stuff.
There isn't much room for customization though.
Honestly, best option is just learn web design and make your own. Then you can say you know web design as well. :)
Shit, I should post some art as long as I'm posting.

Commission for a friend, Ballpoint Pen sketch. I'm not used to drawing men or other people's characters.
Bad sig.
Also, you do commissions with a biro? :v:

I shall try to improve it.
Not all commissions, the person commissioning me specifically requested that I do a sketch in biro. Most of my commissions are usually digitally lineart-ed and coloured, but this person saw me sketching in pen at a convention we were both at and she really wanted me to draw her character the same way.
Draw more goat creatures

The background was pretty much just ripped from super meat boy cause I thought the pallet suited him so well. Might redo something original/similar tomorrow but this'll do for now mabes
your best bet for a cheapish professional portfolio site without having to know webdesign is to just get a wordpress
WP is kinda overcomplicated for the portfolio purposes, in my opinion. It was originally created for managing the blogs, so it has a lot of unuseful things for portfolio (like databases or widgets). Practically, the only advantage of choosing the workpress for portfolio is that you automatically get helltones of themes which you can easily install.
I'd better choose Stacey if you ask me. It's way more easier to handle with.

It's amazing what you did. However, I believe the shadow should be a little bit less dark because right now it looks as if there is a huge gash on the planet.
Saw a tutorial by Mark Crilley (not really into manga, just stumbled upon his videos and they are really good) on perspective and drew this.

Just experimenting with perspective and going over stuff with pen really.

There are wordpress themes specifically meant to be used as portfolios though. Personally I'm currently using Portfolium just to have a portfolio before I make my own design down the line.
Looks like this: http://elevarbeid.webstudent.no/dmk1_oslo/dag_gulliksen/wordpress/
Clean, minimalistc and straightforward, just upload your work and it puts it in a slide and then you put it in a category if you want to use them to sort your stuff.
Wordpress is good, but you have to browse through a bazillion identical themes to find the ones that appeal to you, Also highly recommended to tweak them if you know some basic css and html, making them more personal and unique as any obvious Wordpress looking site just oozes of lasines and tends to lack any identity.

MS Paint.

Paint.net is a really intuitive advanced photomanipulation program with pretty good addon support and a great list of features. GIMP is more advanced, also free, but harder to pick up and use for most people.
