Could go the easy route and never have relationships. All the extra anything you want! Worked for me so far :v:
yeah but then i'd be giving up my hopes for a brit/aussie boyfriend with a sexy accent. Can't do that.
Real plants are expensive :(
Settle for the skulls of fallen enemies. They're full of nutrients for fish!
Conversely, everyone I've know has had good experiences with it. A few bad dates, but overall good. It pays to be cautious though, and I shouldn't have emotionally invested myself and allowed myself to so drastically misinterpret the intentions of this last guy. Now, I need to be more transparent and have better judgement. As long as I learn something, it wasn't really a loss. Thanks though, I need all the luck I can get :D
paindoc you sound like a lovely person who i'd love to talk to irl
yes give into the peer pressure around here there is no gender correlation to starbucks
at the risk of sounding like an edgy stick it to the man daddio socialist activist with pins on his lapel, I prefer independent coffee shops to Starbucks. There's only one Starbucks in my town and it's exactly like every Starbucks I've been in from Berlin to Prague. Chains have no character or individual spirit And their cakes are shite
tea is where it's at
I live in the deep south and whenever someone learns I don't like Iced Tea, they think i'm the spawn of satan.
coffee is disgusting hot cocoa is where it's at
I like Frappes. AKA Coffee Milkshake but with very little coffee, and more chocolate.
My relationship was originally an LDR but now we're together and getting an apartment together. Now if people are on opposite coasts it's still doable but just so much harder. [editline]9th October 2015[/editline]
Also starbucks makes me feel like people are secretly calling me a white girl behind my back when I go there.
I still go to starbucks as its the only coffee place at my work and i'll still get stuff like pumpkin lattes when they're out because i just really like them. I'll go around at work saying i decided to be a basic white girl today and just COULDN'T start my day without my pumpkin latte. That and its a big buisiness now so theres some less love to go around in the cafes as they're starting to spring up not for quality but for business opportunity to get bank off of hipster and people who think going to a cafe makes you sophisticated. And screenplay writers who are always 'almost half way done' their manuscript typing away on facebook on their macs.

Perhaps it's because it's a peculiarly American phenomenon and thus people who want to emulate it (i.e wankers, cunts, and dickheads) go to the one American chain they can find in England Totally agree though. The small business has been turned into a market in itself, there's a satirical article about it here. They just struggle because they have to charge more and people tend to want something cheap and easy rather than expensive and enjoyable
Coffee is like wine. If you're not used to drinking it for its taste alone, you just won't notice the subtleties. Takes time to pick up, like learning to drink fancy wine and beer and shit. There's nothing wrong with liking Starbucks. Its only lately since I've acquired my own espresso machine and I've been drinking less flavored coffees that I've noticed their "burnt" taste. Starbucks really overroasts the beans to get a very strong flavor and make large batches. Most other coffees can taste a bit smoother, and you can get that strength without completely making it bitter as shit. As it stands, starbucks is reliably drinkable and consistent. I wouldn't get just a plain brewed coffee from them or simple shit like lattes and cappuccinos, but I still dig my caramel macchiatos and salted caramel stuff and the wonder that is the caramel frappuccino. its cool. no need for elitism on this shit, its pretty silly. My new espresso machine is my favorite though, I love the flavor and the fact I can make my own steamed/frothed milk and make flavored drinks if I so choose too. also thx bitches there are many reasons to come to seattle i am only one of many [editline]9th October 2015[/editline] I'm super pissed right now, trying to get ahead on homework and the homework website is down. I was doing so well :c
you're making me want an espresso machine [editline]9th October 2015[/editline] what if i like everything a little burnt
