I finally made it to clinic. My face and head are exploding, and i was up until 6am coughing. I got like three hours of sleep at some point. Things are foggy and I'm fairly confused and out of it. Hope this sinus cold is bacterial, if it's viral there's nothing I can do

so what the fuck is it that you're sick with? Bronchitis?
Hoodie
They come in hoodies!?
Hoodies are the best
From what I'm seeing, you can buy it as a hoodie, but it's twice more expensive than a regular shirt.
Probably because the material is thicker, hoodies are more cozycomfy, and it has a hood <3
[editline]15th October 2015[/editline]
I miss being able to wear hoodies. It never gets cold enough in Florida to warrant it. They're so comfy!
I really want one of those Assassin's Creed hoodies. They look cool as fuck. Like this one
Hoodies is the shit. But I gotta get some more regular sweaters.
I might as well get it as a hoodie then, Winter is coming up anyways and it gets cold as shit in the desert.
Get something awesome.

Sinusitis. It's caused through a number of things though, there's not a huge chance it's bacterial but if I do the treatment correctly not a huge risk or misuse issue.
Also I thought I had another appointment downtown, so I got home from hospital barely standing took a shower gulped down pills and headed back out. Neatly passing out on the bus, too. Turns out my appointment isn't today, so I got all the way downtown for nothing.
All was not lost though! I got a hazelnut spread shortbread cookie sandwich from a café since I think lack of calories made feel so faint. It was a damn good cookie.

It's nice and sunny out for the first time in several days and I feel much better, seems appropriate

Sinus Itis. They couldn't have come up with a less retarded name for that?
I rewatched My Cousin Vinny last night because it's a great movie, and Marisa Tomei is fucking hot as shit in it. However instead of eyefucking her like I usually do, for the first time I noticed that I was gushing over how fierce and on point all of her outfits are, like seriously she kills everything she wears in that movie
That, I think, is the gayest thought I've ever had, and I spend about 30% of each week thinking about suckling docks
I was going to fix that typo but it's just too hilarious
Sinus Itis. They couldn't have come up with a less retarded name for that?
what about bronchitis? itis indicated inflammation/infection. bronch-itis is inflammation of the bronchi. sinusitis is inflammation of the sinus.
Sinus Itis. They couldn't have come up with a less retarded name for that?
Bro, the suffix "-itis" literally means 'inflammation' so when you get a word like "sinusitis" it means inflammation of the sinuses.

it just sounds stupid saying it out loud. Could have called it sinu-itis or sin-itis

ughh so I'm convinced I just made a huge mistake that will ruin my career.
I applied for a job with a large company. The position was in my hometown so it would have been a five minute commute. I either was not qualified or the position was filled, but the hiring manager got back to me and asked if I would be interested in interviewing for a position in a different location.
I decided to reject the job interview since the commute would have been unbearable. 1.5 hours one-way on a good day (3+ hours one-way during winter weather), 7 days a week, and figured going on an interview for a job I would not even consider accepting would have wasted everyone's time.
Should I have at least gone on the interview? I plan on working for this company in the future, just not that particular position.

No, it would have been a waste of time. You did explain the reason you didn't go to the interview, yes? I'm sure the manager would understand.

Yeah I did make it clear that I am very interested in the company, but that I am unable to work at that particular location and was seeking a position closer to home (hence the position I originally applied for).
I have no regrets not going on the interview to get the job because I never would have accepted it. I'm just nervous that if I apply for one of those closer-to-home positions in say, a year, he'll remember me as that guy that rejected an interview (positions like that do not open up often so I likely won't try again for at least a year).

would it have been enough salary to consider moving closer?
would it have been enough salary to consider moving closer?
Absolutely not, average apartment prices within a 15 mile radius is about $800/mo. Extending my housing search in any direction outside of 15 miles would mean getting on the highway which is where all the traffic is. Given the salary I would have been faced with it was unlikely to work. I also was not expecting to move and recently bought a new car, so I do not have enough cash for first/last/security deposit anyway.

You're fine. 1.5 hour 'best case scenario' commute is insane. Especially 7 days a week, with the commute becoming 3+ hours in certain conditions. You'd be spending 3-6+ hours a day in your car, every single day, and probably end up spending way more on gas than is worth it.

I really doubt that he'll remember you badly, if at all, because you politely declined an interview for a legit reason. He was probably just throwing you a bone to be nice and didn't expect you to take it anyway. A commute that long never makes sense, and if the pay wasn't enough for you to support yourself closer than no harm no foul.
