Porn?
I don't exactly know what kind of bird they are, but there's a huge (like, at least 100-150 individuals) group of these songbirds that migrate from the trees in my neighbor's backyard to the small forested area near my house.
In the morning, they gather in a gigantic group and head over to the forest, squeaking and shrieking really loud, but flying in these beautiful swarms that look like waves.
In the late evening, they return to the trees.
They've been doing this for years, and I love it. It always happens in late summer and goes to late autumn.

That sounds very unpleasant. :v:
Ooohhhh my goodness the assistant manager of the whole store told me she heard about those compliments from yesterday. This is amazing. By far the best month of my life.

I'm suddenly reminded of the thought of 'what if bird song were replaced with human screaming?'
I think there was a video about this, I'm not sure, but I still laugh at the thought.
I miss having a job. :C
Talking to an adorable guy online, hope things go well!

Damn, I think that midterm went okay. I re-differentiated all my solutions that I integrated to see if I got back to where I started, and I did. I finished 15m early and spent most of that time rechecking all my answers (doing the thing mentioned), and explaining more thoroughly. I ended up finishing that right at the apparent end, but the professor gave 5 more minutes since at least 30 of the 40 people in that class needed it.
It was literally just rehashed hw problems and practice midterm problems, following exactly the format he gave in said midterms with a few surprise problems that he hinted towards in class. I didn't even use my note sheet. This is a ridiculously dramatic turnaround from last year, where I almost never had my answers check out and used my note sheet as a crutch. As reward, I'm letting myself just program my vectormath library until my next class :D

also despite doing okay in tinder matches I have yet to feel a spark of interest with anyone, regardless of attractiveness. and i only get to see the person I think is into me from one of my classes once a week :c
calc 4?
i get to take that joy of a class next semester
calc... 4? oh my goodness what does that entail
i only take up to 3 for my major but i also have a few specifics classes like applied diff EQs etc
also i had a physics test today dealing with rotational mechanics and i thought it was gonna be super hard but i slammed it and it was easy as hell and that has really made my day
Took my CTS-115 exam just now, got a 95
I am satisfied.

um, maybe. Not sure how designations work. I'm retaking multivariable calculus because I failed it last quarter, but that won't happen again. So I'm in multivariable calculus and differential equations this quarter

Applied diff eq's is so much fun though, I love them. Doing the homework practice problems is really neat, especially for newtons law of cooling, financial transactions and interest, boltzmann's law (like newtons for radiation), and gravitational potential energy (used to find equation for escape velocity, such a fun derivation). Laplace transform and fourier transform let you turn nasty equations into simple linear equations and are used loads in EE and Aero for DSP work, and microprocessor applications afaik. Also used in digital systems processing analog signals, so you can turn analog audio into digital audio and filter it and process it.
Rotational kinematics for physics was one of my favorites, wish I had tried more and done more of the problems and actually put effort into. I was absolute shit in that subject because I just never [I]did[/I] anything...
[editline]23rd October 2015[/editline]
remember, dy/dt = k[rate in - rate out] and with that and a bit of thinking you can solve any diff eq
I'm kinda excited for it. I won't be in it next semester, but Fall 2016 I will be! I'm stuck right now in all the 'basic' classes if you will, but that's because I started college a year late. I'm a freshman this year, but I'm a semester ahead because of the AP classes I took in high school (meaning I didn't have to take any freshman english classes, and I'm starting in Calc 2 and not the first Physics w/ Calc class in the sequence)
I fucking hate rotational mechanics. So, so much. You don't even know how much. I'm so bad at them. But now I don't have to deal with them again.
Lucky man, I'm certain I failed my physics exam today and to add insult to injury I learned today that I actually work tonight and not tomorrow. Midnight to 8. And also my hard drive failed so no PC for a while. Its been a rough week...

Textbook problems until your eyes bleed. Physics and math is all about knowing the problems inside and out and really developing problem solving skills. You seem to have that handled, though.
I understand completely the grind of basic classes. Having to take a freshman prereq like chem is sorta unfun, and retaking calculus sucks. Next quarter I'm taking intro to computational math, so loads of MATLAB work and I can't wait for that. Statics too, and in spring I'm doing thermodynamics and matrix algebra both of which will be super useful and I'm hyped for. If all goes well and I raise my GPA I'll apply for my dept and get news back on go for space or no-go for space by the middle of the summer.
Skipping the first physics/calc is also a blessing, at my uni at least that is the hardest math class we give and is designed as a weedout. It was a massacre.

I'm sorry to hear that :c
What sort of physics? I ahve a pile of spare textbooks for the 3 big categories, they have tons of practice problems and are usually better than the uni standard textbooks. I have solutions manuals for a few too, so you can see how the problems are solved as well. Let me know and I'll send you links if you like.

I need to work on this merge thing
Honestly I have nobody to blame for myself, I should have studied harder
the only ee class that i'm taking next semester is microcomputer organization. all the rest are just prereqs that i need to get out of the way like physics and introductory probability
i'm also taking a learning to run a 5k class next semester lol easy credit
sounds yum

So you guys use Blackboard too, I see
I can tell it's blackboard because it's displaying a load of broken bullshit
we're switching from blackboard to canvas by next semester. right now we're in a weird transitional state where some profs are using canvas and others are using blackboard
[editline]24th October 2015[/editline]
also i got a 78 on my computer networks midterm awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

what do you think of canvas so far? I do not miss blackboard. Canvas is easier but can be sorta weird or laggy at times. But its far less broken :v:
