I'm waiting for the future where 3D printers can accurately, easily, and cheaply print in metal to the point where having them in a home is commonplace.
Yeah... no. Mostly because printing in metal is a bitch. The powder is terrifyingly flammable and in order to use our unis I have to take fire training, and the stuff requires a very special type of extinguisher. apparently it burns like white phosphorous. short of molecular printing, don't expect metal in the home
and you don't want to print in silicone bitches, not safe for reasons. you can make molds and pour silicone though, and that works!
[editline]25th October 2015[/editline]
not to mention the material used is so abrasive replacing nozzles is a monthly huge expense. also, the patents are pretty watertight on metal printing so innovation is slow or nonexistent.

"silicone sculptures"
Please dont display rich privilege
it hurts my poverty gland.

they're artistic and functional

LET ME DREAM DAMN IT
I WANT TO DOWNLOAD A CAR

if you downloaded a car even on a home metal 3d printer be ready to assemble it from 500 + pieces. also, metal prints have to cured for 48 hours in a kiln and before that you have to drain the excess powder out and pour in the filler metal

I've spent much of this evening filling in forms.
Both forms for the civil service, and a character sheet for pathfinder. I don't know which requires more work but they're both mad.
What kind of loser doesn't know how to fill out a character sheet for Pathfinder
What kind of loser doesn't know how to fill out a character sheet for Pathfinder
The facepunchers who play country rps are trying it for the first time. Been filling out an excel sheet and writing up stories about things.
So far there's a Slavic dwarf cleric, a homosexual paladin, and a "scat-singing" bard and some ranger.
Yea I tried everything once to understand why people did shit, why they make a big deal about drugs drinking and smoking and smoking is the only one that just tasted like ass for no benefit to me, I do it when I drink but its just something to do because the best moments happen outside the clubs in smoking areas. Thats how I've made most of my friends on nights out :v
Yeah I forgot how many friends I made by bummin cigarettes/lighters/smoking outside events.
Might have to carry a pack around again lol

I like how, out of all that, the ranger gets the most normal, unassuming stance. "Oh yeah, thats our Slavic dwarf cleric, our gayboi paladin that really likes using lay on hands, our scatting bard summoning scatman, and..just some ranger we found."
Last time I played an rpg with friends the one irl friend who knew I was a furfag was dungeonmaster and made it so that whenever my character got panicked I just turned into a literal fox
I had never played dnd before so it was an "experience". he's the worst to play with, in that while its hilarious once he's dm nothing happens except stupid shit like that.
I only ever watched dnd once, I always wanted to join in. The guy I watched wanted to help me with a character sheet but never got around to it. Never found anyone to play it with after that but it seemed like a blast
I played D&D with some friends before I left Tallahassee. I was an elven ranger and my character always had some form of hilarious sensual/sexual encounters that began when I forgot the gender of my character and started to hit on some nuns
For example, one time the party was going through a village and this one human female rushed up to my character and started sweet talking, etc, gave me a necklace and asked for me to go into the home's basement; she stripped naked at the same time the father walked downstairs, who turned out to be the guy who initially wanted us to do something, and it was pretty funny overall even though it was borderline rape
every time i tried getting into dnd, something happens and it falls through so ive accepted itll never happen with me
speaking of dnd, "The Last Witchhunter" is a fun movie with that sort of progression
cliché though
paindoc come back
i was at wooorkkk

Oh~ Getting into D&D are we?
I just finished a character last night for a new campaign. Kenku Ranger in a Renaissance era campaign. Former military scout, now working for a paranormal investigation agency.
Playing in another campaign atm with a character I made back in August. Medical doctor disenchanted with human mortality went on a quest to find a way of giving humans elf-like longevity or true immortality. Ended up finding a research tome with a fragment of Hastalyk The Contagion (one of the great old ones) that turned him into a warlock at the price of his sanity. He's slowly losing his mind over the course of the campaign and performing stranger and stranger experiments in the name of finding a way to make humans immortal.
In the game today, he replaced about 60-70% of his blood with Elven blood. Ended up with flu-like symptoms for a week (his Kobold assistant/apprentice took care of him) and got a free proficiency, but also developed a permanent madness and feels compelled to kill. DM said more things will happen as the blood works its way through my body. Can't wait.
DnD guys really? lol, NERDS
*goes back to playing with star trek action figures and making them have weird sex poses*
To be fair star trek is awesome, I'm almost done watching the animated series myself, then onto the movies!
Oh, are we sharing D&D experience stories?
I've been playing tabletop rpgs for ~2 years. Started with Pathfinder, and played it for a while, before picking up Dark Heresy, then Eclipse Phase, then SpyCraft, then ASOIAF RPG, etc etc a long ass list.
Currently, I'm in a game of Werewolf: The Forsaken, where my dude is the only character with any decent social skills, and is also a good cook. Our last session involved my guy waking up from a coma(induced by my computer fucking up at the end of a session and the ST deciding to keep going without me, with me agreeing it wouldn't do for the game to be held up by my shit) and explaining a vision he had about bad shit headed our way. Me and our smartypants loremaster headed for the spirit-world area of the nearest library, and had a neat little adventure where a papercraft knight in a papercraft castle took us to a gigantic red x on the ground, where we dug up the knowledge we wanted with giant erasers(Because the dirt was a drawing, basically). Meanwhile, our combat chick and stealth dude went to scout around our territory for shit and speak with the combat chick's friend about something; they found said friend jerking off inside the shanty he owned, and my internet cut out there but afaik nothing else major happened before the session ended.
I'm also, as of earlier today, planning to run a game of Exalted 3e for a different group of friends. Not gonna bother explaining the setting, but imagine if you combined Final Fantasy with DBZ and Greek mythology, and you get a rough idea of what it's like.
My favorite thing about the edition though is this picture.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/ES0rgvv.jpg[/t]
That stamp on his crotch looks exactly like one from previous edition books that means "THIS PACKAGE IS APPROVED BY THE SCARLET EMPRESS", and those dudes around him are very likely lackeys of said Empress. :v:
tl;dr, I'm a huge nerd when it comes to tabletop games.
