Has there ever been a time when such measures have failed? If so, I will be in shock.
All the damn time in my life.
I'm well spoken, I don't sound like local people, but I have abhorrent school grades and little to no relevant experience really, it's a shame.

Similarly I've been rendering the youtube version w/ visualizer (and making it) for my latest track
probably about 5-6 hours of work and 17 hour render, and the version I liked and got this image from broke everything and was gonna take 189 hours to render. somehow. idk.
anyways still waiting to see my precious render and I can't wait, putting it on YT then FB after that.
Going to the midnight showing of Spectre tonight.
(probably by myself cause no one else here on campus seems to like James Bond or watching movies)
Woo, James Bond.
3rd week of work and the Managers all saying I'm doing great :D
They have entrusted me with working the off-license section over christmas, kind of a big deal apparently?
Hey guys, another brief life post. I have fortunately regained my flesh and am no longer a skeleton. However I tripped again while shaving and somehow missed my entire face several times. Resulting in this haircut.

Its still my steam avatar by the way.
Help. I used to smoke a while ago. I keep working the cash register that also sells tabacoo products. I keep getting cravings to smoke again really badly. What do I do ;_;?
Other than that issue my days going fine today.
Well I got a 34% on chemistry test, which is 35% below the average. More than two standard deviations, or an effective grade of 0.6.
fuck. I don't even know what happened. I thought I did well and I tried to study, but I don't even know how I do this poorly on tests anymore. Multiple choice tests always get me, I don't know if I mark answers down in the wrong spots or if I misread them or what. But its really really hard to maintain any hope or will to keep fighting to go on when I take one step forward and two backwards and cannot figure out what to do anymore. I have medication, coping strategies, better habits... why is it not working?
edit: well two ways to react here, give in or really fucking fight now. Already sunk my grade in this class, think I will barely even be able to scrape out a 2.8 if my math is right (it probably isn't :v:)
But fuck it, I'm fucking tired of not doing well. I can improve and now I need to identify what went wrong, what i don't know, and how I can fix it. I do know distractions are sitll my biggest thing, and this forum is a huge timesink. I'm not unhappy, but I'm not working as hard as I could be and have been lying to myself and others about how hard I'm actually working or how much I'm actually working- because of my pride and the fact I don't want to admit I let things get away from me this quarter AGAIN.
Something is working. Something has changed, 307 is evidence of that. The fact I'm not staring down or thinking of staring down the barrel of a gun means things are different now vs last year. I need to leverage that and keep moving. I may not get into Aero this year, or next year, but fuck if I'm not gonna get in one of these days damnit. So no more FP for a while probably, music is my fun activity to let steam off with and doesn't snowball into 4 hours wasted as easy as posting random shit here haha.
Just got a job working in a Amazon warehouse starting tomorrow, it's like the second job I've done ever, so hopefully it's not going to suck. :worried:

Request to be put on a different register with the reason being that you're trying to avoid smoking. Your boss will probably understand.
What's the name for that empty, sucking, vacuous feeling right in the center of your chest?

Heart?
I posted my little song video on FB and so far a few of my friends have commented saying its great, 2 who do film production hve asked if I can help them with their next large project (maybe), and its gotten about 25 likes wahey.
Im not making or sharing my music because I want to go big or make money (although playing a show when I start making dancier more upbeat stuff sounds like a ton of fun) but out of the love for it and as a relaxing activity. And having my friends and family like my work feels good and is just the boost I needed today.
Also making a visualizer video for MrJazzy's latest synthwave song (I <3 his style) and its delightfully cheesy and 80's so far:

That isn't my background though, and you can't see the FX I've applied here or the movement of the visualizer but it glows all neon-like and the colors are coordinated to the gradient in the image. Its really neat looking :D

Oh man, I've always loved that 80's gridwave style. Is it all done in after effects? If so, I may consider using it instead of sony vegas for my videos. I've heard it's better, but I've not been convinced as it is harder to use.
Sometimes you might feel stupid, but you'll never feel "It took me 12+ years to understand the play on words of cyndoquil" stupid.

Yes, its all done in aftereffects. Generating the audio spectrum is as simple as generating a solid, and using effect-->generate-->audio spectrum. From there, you set the path to the music in question. You can then adjust the start and end frequencies, reaction time, max height, color and if it scales/changes/follows music, can make it follow any path you like (drawn in as masks), and can choose from analog lines, analog dots, or digital bars. That right there is all 3- the bars are the most obvious, and the analog line is slightly larger and thicker, set to be a tiiiiny bit slower and higher than the bars so it lags a bit and looks really neat.
Its extremely easy to pick up and use, and from there the sky is the limit. You can pretty creative. Something I would recommend is when making the spectrum follow a circle, make sure that copies of a few of the items rotated 180 degrees exist as well. Since the spectrum still generates from a fixed point on the curve, you end up with one side having more activity since low frequency has higher amplitude.
I made my video in 3-4 hours, but that was my learning how to use after effects at all and adjusting the look of each visualizer object seperately. The version I completed and uploaded is not nearly as good as my first draft, mostly just because I got to the point of wanting to just get it up and running tbh. I don't really want to share my video since it seems self-promotey, but searching for adobe after effects audio visualizer on youtube gets tons of result. You can get as crazy or as mundane as you like too, and theres tutorials covering the whole spectrum of that.
I took another selfie this morning and apparently it's the best one I've taken so here.

You have a nice, defined jawline. Why hide it in a beard? Keep it clean shaven af and show that shit off all johnny-bravo like. Beards are best on those of us poor saps who don't have jaws to speak of or need to accentuate it more with a beard.
edit: it looks much better now, is what I'm saying. which is why its so strange you want to have facial hair with that nice of a jaw haha

Tbh it's mostly cause I think I look better with a bit of stubble than completely clean shaven, plus I'm too lazy to shave every day.
It sucks when you spill your heart out to someone and they say they dont feel the same.... feel like not even trying anymore...
