Welcome to making music, here's your bucket of disappointment and self loathing. Also that message sounds like what greeley posted, vaguely. Less verbatim but still trying a bit too hard
I'll put it next to my breadmaking and baking bucket. [editline]11th November 2015[/editline]
So my computer can't run Fallout 4 because its too old. I was going to build a new PC a month ago but I decided to wait for FO4... now the CPU I want is $20 more. :(
I'm still using a 580 and 955 XII Phenom and I'm shit scared of playing anything more modern in fear of the two combusting :v:
If you are gonna get a new PC then I recommend getting a really good one. After all you don't want to be upgrading it constantly. At least that's what I did three years ago. I've only bought new GPU (GTX660 to 970) and an SSD and it runs great.

When the feelings of "this is shit" returns listen to what inspired you and keep pushing through and improving Macklemore, Killigrew, Kavinsky, Die Antwoord, Justice, Daft Punk, Justice, Infected Mushroom, Deadmau5, Madeon, Televisor, Sonata Arctica, Jedi Mind Tricks, etc. Got all my biggest influences and the songs that inspired me all in a Playlist for those days haha.
I got Fallout 4 on the xbone today. Holy crap. It's awesome. How's everyone this evening?
I got Fallout 4 on the xbone today. Holy crap. It's awesome. How's everyone this evening?
At least a quarter of my campus is playing Fallout 4, I am one of them.
At least a quarter of my campus is playing Fallout 4, I am one of them.
Bethesda is probably rolling in the most money they have seen in a while. Today is a pretty good day.
Avoiding buying Fallout 4 until I have regular access to my desktop, which'll be once my lady and I get moved into our new house. Should be around the end of the month. Excited!
It happened :D !!!
Fallout 4 is destroying what little there was of my life. And my wallet is crying for mercy because there are more games I've got my eyes on which are releasing in the coming weeks.
One of my buddies is so hooked on Fallout 4 that he's pulled two all nighters to play it. When it was time for class he brought his laptop along and continued questing while his professor did the lecture. True dedication
That's kind of sad.
That's kind of sad.
Not sad, just weird. Gotta know when to quit.
Not sad, just weird. Gotta know when to quit.
Well, maybe not. But still. I can't imagine playing video games that much.

he has an A in the class so I don't think he has to worry
he has an A in the class so I don't think he has to worry
What sort of class is it though? I used to do that shit all the time my freshman year and it's one of many reasons I have a sub 2.5 GPA now, at this point I just leave my phone and surface in my bag and avoid all distractions. I always feel like big test hints show up in lectures, it's wise to pay attention
Honestly, I feel like I shouldn't let myself get distracted at all during lectures but recently I just can't be assed to pay attention anymore. Especially in my engineering design and chemistry lectures, I'm literally either asleep or on my phone in either of them and I've been tossing around the idea of just grabbing my laptop and playing games in them now because I'm just so far gone (I'm doing really well in both classes, they're just so hard to pay attention to, and I've tried).
i play games through my programming lectures
I wish I could zone out more, but it takes me a lot more practice and active work to retain the same amount of info as most people, it seems. If the metrics of work my friends put into class is any benchmark, I'm either doing something wrong or just a slow learner. Combine the need to stretch my studying out over a long period with the inability to really plan or work ahead(not anymore, admittedly), and you have a pretty solid recipe for a disastrous quarter. Going to classes helps me as I can get examples solved and see different techniques, get test hints, and know if I need to go to office hours and stuff.

I literally did no upgrades to my current PC since I was a poor college student (Phenom II 955, ATi 5770), I've been able to play recent games at at least low to medium settings until this year. TW3 and FO4 really fucked me over.
Fallout 4 is destroying what little there was of my life. Powerglove, London Elektricity, Camo and Krooked, Black Sun Empire, Kavinsky, etc. . Problem being is that music making is an unfortunately expensive hobby and I'm not quite good at replicating sounds without being tempted to throw a couple hundred at my screen for synth emulators
At least a quarter of my campus is playing Fallout 4, I am one of them.
Same. I uh.. may have used the fallout pip-boy app on my phone to mess with people's inventories. My friend was playing and I made him drop his weapon several times during firefights.

Yohoho and a bottle of rum. No ones going to blame you for choosing to pirate as a beginning producer who can't afford the stuff right now. Don't go hogwild though, choose one really good VST and stick with it. Spire is quite nice, I've heard. Everyone loves Sylenth, and despite how primitive its interface is Synth1 is absolutely brilliant. Right now I'm trying to make a song using only entirely custom patches on my JD-Xi, layering drum sounds has been a kick since I can layer up to 4 of the onboard samples, and filter and modulate each sample separately. A good idea would be to choose a nice synth, acquire it, learn it a bit, then try to make a track using that vst for everything. At the end of the day though, you really don't need expensive vsts or synths. With the right usage of FX you can make the dry and stale ableton stock vst's really come alive. Light distortion of the mids and filter modulation through a series of barely wet filters is a start

I wish I could be hooked on this metaphoric meth called Fallout 4, it sounds like a fun time, but I'm just not in the budget for a metaphoric drug habit right now sadly :c (or a real one for that matter)
