Weightlifting/Bodybuilding Thread V.5 - How do I lift?

you take pre workout? if so cut down on that and your caffeine intake even if its stayed the same, better safe than sorry
Youre limiting yourself... At your level limiting intake is absurd, when youre at kai greenes level u can go ahead and limit what is already pretty damn limited. If i were u id push on,take a full diet break, regroup and lose like five or seven more kilos. By the picture thats the amount u should get off imo
How long should a full diet break be, a week or two?
I'll be starting it next week, will probably do good for me. I bet my hormones and other shit like that are all whacky and stuff, I barely lose weight on like 1800 calories now, shit ain't normal.
Uh where did you hear that? Can you back it up?
when your knee is in front of your toes, you start to get lots of tension in the patellar zone, on the tendon and ligament. too much weight, or improper warm ups can eventually lead to knee problems, in time.
the safest ones are the low bar squats. (keeping in mind your back must always be straight of course)
Sounds like overtraining
a friend tried convincing me i was wasting money on the gym, that he had made better progress by doing 50 press ups every morning. then he refuses to touch a weight and prove his theory

hope u slapped that motherfuker in his filthy whore mouth
okay thats enough drugs for one week
say goodbye to your sweet gains and high test qeef.
No weights on vacation. Must lift, no weights, must liiiiiift...
Over training is definitely real, I damaged/injured my muscles loads when I first started. Waiting 5-6 days to fully recover sucked. I guess that was due to poor nutrition back then also.
its not that overtraining isn't real, its just that its blown way out of proportion. And after training for a while overtraining mostly becomes irrevelevant.
I think imma be sober the rest of the week

You can't overtrain if you know your weights, and if you don't train more than 1 hour and a half. You can't overtrain in one hour and a half, unless all you do is bicep curls
As long as you have proper form you wont get injured by working out too much. Your body will stop you when it is too tired to go on.
Trying GNC's strawberry protein powder this month. Tastes like pepto. This month is going to suck.

T-Rex arms for the rest of the month. Fun times
God save me, for I have sinned. Skipped today's workout which happened to be leg day.
I'll try to make up for it by just doing leg day saturday instead.

Jesus christ, I keep increasing the volume but I feel like it's not working. I feel like shit during the workout but 2 hours after and it feels like I could go back to lifting, is that normal? Like today was legs + arms day because I skipped legs yesterday and while my legs are weak as the dick because I'm walking on them, my biceps and triceps doesn't feel weak anymore.
yes its normal. im goin to punch my computer wtc it just keeps turnin off
Fuck, feels like I didn't even work out today.

Happens man. I like to run after I lift weights and whatever body part I worked out before doesn't feel as sore as it did maybe 10 minutes earlier. Believe me though, if you felt the burn while you were lifting then you were successful and should not worry.
Today did shoulders/delts and after 10 minutes of running I felt like I should've done more, but really I shouldn't.
