Probably more like the Heavy :smug:
More like the... I've got nothing. You win this round, you witty fox. Or something.
Take lots of money too. It was pritty cheap to get in, but then it was £10 (18 AUD) for 100 more paint balls, they took the toll on my wallet.
I'm covered. Dad's taken that into account, thankfully. I don't have a job so I would be screwed if he wasn't cool.
The one I'm going to is in the bush. Should be fun :D
My first (and only) paintball experience was in the bush. My friend took me with him to this paintball park thingy in the bush. The instructors there explained all the rules and set up a bunch of match types for us. Was a lot of fun. Dunno if this would be similar to where you'd be going. By our rules, you "died" when you got hit once. You then had to go back to your base and star from the beginning, which used up one of your three "lives".
Because I have nothing better to do I shall outline the games we did: Capture the flag: It’s basic really, there was a big wooden bridge on the ground and lots of cover on each side, then there was a flag in the middle of the bridge. Both teams competed to get the flag and take it over to their side. Control points: 4 wooden houses (this was where the worker threw our smoke bomb away) You basically had to fight to take control of the houses, I did really well on this one. Assassination: One guy on each team wore a yellow high vis jacket and the objective was to hit the other teams dude before they got yours.
Get resistant cloth, or its gonna hurt like shit. And if its in forest try to get a camo'ed jacket or something like that.
Also take some slightly energizing drinks like powerade, they can boost up you before and after the match.
You just need to know a couple things: If you're renting, your gun is shit. Your tank is shit. Your hopper is shit. That's how it works. If it's still fun after today, follow through with it. And if someone bunkers you, you now have a personal vendetta against them for the rest of the day, but don't take it to far.
I gotta say the guns we got were mighty fine, shot straight, never missfired or anything. I guess compared to something you can buy they are not amazing but they were still pritty good. Also what do you mean by bunkers Zombii?
If they have them, get a Tipmann/Tippman/Tippmann/Tipman A3. And yes, I always forget how it's spelled.
Oh oh oh! They have Tippman (not sure on spelling either) guns! I remember hearing that :D
Also, don't forget to pistol whip.
Wear a pair of jeans that are flexible enough for movement in, or if you got any army camo pants those work well too. For upper body, a tshirt is just fine, it will sting a bit but you can man up and power through it. I got shot in the throat three times at point blank range by some asshole with a gun set to nearly twice the right pressure setting. Have a baseball cap and where it backwards with your mask to protect the back of your head and neck. Generally speaking, it is one hit and you're dead. And when its just you by yourself, don't stay in one place, move around a ton on the field. Be fast though, and make them waste their paint trying to hit you. Don't be trigger happy, it will get your ass killed.
If you run out of ammo, club people with the gas canister. I've been a fair few times, I went wearing a formal suit and I put a top hat on my helmet. It got too hot after a while so I took the jacket off and unbuttoned the shirt. The pain isn't really an issue, it's brief and you laugh about it.
I go in shorts and a t-shirt. [editline]09:54AM[/editline] it hurts, but not that bad

Last time I went I got shot up alot but just walked it off. It hurts getting hit the first couple of times but soon you sort of get used to it and it doesn't really hurt as much. As for clothing, i'd just wear a shirt, some thick pants and a hooded jacket and if upgrade guns are available, rent one. They make a hell of a difference. Also, two cool-ish stories of mine. Me and my mate were sitting in a trench with upgraded M16 replicas and we managed to push back eight of the enemy team by ourselves. Another one would be when me and a couple of buddies were sitting on the top floor of a bus and a grenade flew through the wondow. I hit the deck and screamed grenade while one of my friends tackled the other to the floor in an attempt to save him from the grenade. Luckily, the grenade landed in the corner of the bus and only managed to give the wall a new paint job.
So the general consensus is to wear something which I'm not too attached to as paint might soak through or something?
Pritty CTN1995 This is the website to the place I went to if anyone was interested: http://www.paintballgames.co.uk/?l=adv&gclid=CNOy4Mb0vaICFY-X2Aod5BIu4g Also wear something that doesn't keep in too much heat as it will get very hot, but then again australia is pritty much always hot. This part of the website: http://www.paintballgames.co.uk/paintballing-equipment has the exact stuff I had, including the gun. You see the little grill on the front of the mask? A paintball went in there and into my mouth.
I got shot in the arse trying to run away I couldnt sit for a day
I used to get bullied by kids with paintball guns. Every day when I walked home from school, this group of kids would hide in one of their treehouses and just shoot paintballs relentlessly at me. They said if I told on them they would "tea bag" me.

I'd suggest Tippmann 98' Custom/Rental, if they have some. Reliable gas-operated paintball gun. The balls won't hurt too much when they hit, usually you have too much adrenaline in your body to notice the pain anyway. It'll hurt more later. Two tactics are best in forest fighting - stealth and rambo. Anything in-between will get you shot. Going stealth means that you will sneak around, obviously. Try to avoid shooting if they are on longer range than 25 meters. Hiding in bushes without moving makes you surprisingly hard to spot. Going rambo doesn't really have too much of description to it. Do not fear the balls, run at your enemies and keep shooting always when on move or in range of enemy fire. Do not stop. If you stop running or shooting, you will "die". Which field are you playing at in Aus? There's about 20 fields in Australia max I'm pretty sure. 11 in Victoria. Wear stuff you don't mind parting with because you paint will get through and onto it. Don't worry about getting hit, anyone that thinks it hurts is a pussy - or they've been hit in the nuts, or on the neck, or on the hands.

Oh shit guys, I've been wanting to make a thread like this. Anyways, there's this indoor paintball facility in Indianapolis (Indiana) called Dark Armies. It's the shit. They provide us with awesome gear. And there is a lot of close quarters action going on, so we use foam combat knives, lol. And we're aloud to tackle in this one game mode called "Juggernaut". There are 8 players and one of them is chosen to be the juggernaut. And the only way to beat him is if you stab him with the foam knife. But if you shoot him, he won't be out. (Usually they just give up.) But the Juggernaut can shoot you. I've played Juggernaut before, and I got a chance to get back at my friend for shooting me in the balls. I had my team to split up into two-man firesquads. And then once we went past the half-field line, everyone sprinted towards the Juggernaut and I flanked him to the right and while he was distracted I tackled him and "slit his throat" with the foam knife. It was pretty epic.
Off to bed with me. Night all, thanks for the advice :) I'll let you know how it goes.
I've been paintballing. Fun for a few hours but I got bored after a while. Getting hit starts to hurt, copped one in the neck :P We got given a jumpsuit/overalls to wear which had padding, but I suspect wearing jeans/shirt should help you as well.
Bring a knife. Save ammo.
Bring a knife. Save ammo.
What would you use as a knife in paintball? I could picture using a Sharpie or something. Get it... sharpie
I love paintball! We got to train with some military issue paintball rifles out in the field- those things rock! I don't know about normal paintball guns, I've never used one, but these things could easily break skin and cause massive welts/swelling. Yeah, they hurt a bit, but it's not like it'll kill you. Probably just some unsightly bruising and a bit of tenderness after the initial impact. Could be worse! Some military installations use a special type of ammunition for training called (I think) UTX rounds. I've never had the pleasure, but a lot of guys who go to BCT at Ft. Benning train with those. They're apparently a wax bullet that can be fired from unmodified M16's and M4's, and these things are just brutal. My buddy Castle trained at Benning, and one of the fellows in his platoon was shot in the hollow below his eye with one. The round lodged itself behind his eye and he had to have it surgically removed (the bullet, not the peeper). Of course, you're just paintballing. Nothing much to worry about there, just wear eye protection and don't intentionally aim for the crotch. That's a jerk move, right there. Also, look out for low tree branches. A buddy of mine from back home went paintballing once, and he ran into a low tree branch...? Knocked his head right off. It rolled into the underbrush and it took hours to find.
I went about 2 years ago and I can honestly say it does not hurt so long as they explode, however there is a slight sting if they don't. When I went a paintball manged to get in someones mask and went in their eye lets just say they were not too well. The worst one is where it goes into your mouth through the breathing grill.....urgh. We did capture the flag, controll points, assination and another but I forgot.
I had something similar. I got hit straight where the eye plate joined the mask and it exploded through the gap and the paint hit my eye. Was kinda annoying because the guy was like "Deal with it, you can't take the mask off until the game is finished." I was standing there for like 10 mins with pint in my eye.
