Do you work out your upper body? If so, how?
Have you fought anyone before
Yeah, before I was paralyzed. It really was a tie. We both beat the shit out of eachother before it got broken up. [editline]7th July 2011[/editline]
Do you work out your upper body? If so, how?
I lift weights so I can look like a badass even though I have scrawny legs.
-holy shit- Umm.. Do you get out much?
No, I don't want to risk breaking something and not being able to feeling it. I would be at risk for a nasty infection. Also, Facepuke (David), It's alright. I enjoy questions like that. You just gotta lighten up and make the best of your situation.
People in this world need to be more like you. You're a champ.
Was it hard to adapt to being paralyzed?
What do you do all day? What are the bright things you look to in life?
Yeah, before I was paralyzed. It really was a tie. We both beat the shit out of eachother before it got broken up. But crashing into a telephone pole doesn't sound like it would mess someone up that bad.
Aren't you a quadriplegic, not paralysed?
Quadriplegia is when you're paralysed below the neck. All four limbs are affected, hence quadriplegic. Paraplegia is when you're paralysed below the waist (or maybe it's below the arms more specifically, I don't know).

It's touching that OP is much more cheery than most of FP even without the ability to use half his body.
I love playing videogames. That is what I usually do all day. I try and get out a lot, but I get bored when I can't do shit like bowl. I love to go to taverns and play pool. The bartenders never ask me for an ID either, even though I'm 19. It was hard to adapt, I don't think it could be easy.
nightfield you make me think of this guy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=obdd31Q9PqA
Would you rather have lost the use of your arms or legs?
Aren't you a quadriplegic, not paralysed?
OP is a paraplegic, not a quadriplegic, meaning he is only paralyzed from the waist down, whereas quadriplegics are paralyzed in both the legs and arms. Dammit, ninja'd.
if you touch your legs does it feel like it's a part of you ever get phantom limb
I know this isn't aimed at me, but: Every morning I wake up, my left arm feels dead, just dead weight. I can touch it, throw it around with my right hand, etc. I can even take a knife to it... no feeling. It eventually "wakes up" in a half hour, but it's really weird when the hand regains feeling first... leaving the wrist up still "paralyzed".

1. What's the last thing you remember feeling with your legs? 2. Of all the characters in movies, which one would you say represents you the most? 3. Do you use a power or manual wheelchair? Have you done mods on it?

So uh, probably a personal question, but I've gotta ask, what was the first thing to go through your head when the doctors told you / you realized that you were paralyzed from the waist down?

I use a manual one. Power wheelchairs are for pussies.
haha i love nightfield's replies. he's so suave i bet you do get all of the pussy, too, dude (or at least win hearts). mad props from me. that's the best bro personality ever you have got going on

Same thing that happens to your leg when you sit on it, except you're doing it all night. Common knowledge.

How much can you lift, i assume being in a wheel chair for 1.5 to 2 years oughtta make you tough but i could be wrong considering my cousins been in one for 5 and he still has chicken arms
So uh, probably a personal question, but I've gotta ask, what was the first thing to go through your head when the doctors told you / you realized that you were paralyzed from the waist down?
I already knew I was due to the fact that I had zero feeling below about my bellybutton. I was mad at myself, and the driver of both cars. It took a long time to forgive the parties involved, but it's not like I was the only one affected. Two people in the other car died. It wasn't anyones fault, since it was so icy. It also didn't help that there was a pole that was hit after hitting the other car. This at about at 60 MPH on a 4 lane highway
Maybe you should get that checked out?
I've looked online everywhere, just don't know the search terms to use. Besides, I'm pretty sure it's a result of an injury I had 2 years ago in a fight. My wrist was slammed against the corner of a brick wall, swole up to the size of a 2 liter of coke.
Do you drive regardless of being paralized? I have a cousin who lost all motor function in his legs and in most of one of his arms but he drives this pimped out van like it's nobody's business.
just going to leave this here....
I was an athlete beforehand, so I can lift about 250? I have pretty tone arms. My legs are still pretty toned aswell, but they will eventually degrade into chicken legs.
The how is beyond me but I figured if he could do it, just about anybody could. Unless it was all a dream. I'm pretty sure it was happenin'.
I'm really sorry for you... I can't even imagine myself in the same situation... Also, this invention may help people like you: EXOSKELETON, FUCK YEA
