The "ambient" music I got was like some time warp shit from the 80's. I felt like I was about to launch.

One of the tracks reminds me of the underground level from Journey.
What is up with Chicago, the other ones are pretty much silent but as soon as switch to Chicago I get radio traffic.
Is Chicago really that bad?

Chicago has some of the roughest streets in America, so yes.
I imagine Compton would drown out the music
I thought the chicago jokes were not so true. I just turned it on and now listening to a dialogue about a dead woman found.

Compton is not nearly as bad as it's made out to be. Might've been different in the early '90s, but it's Just Another Neighborhood now. Oakland is still kind of Wild West, but it's slowly being gentrified by culture creep from the Bay. CHECK YOUR PRIVELEGE, etc.
Doesnt have my city.
Disappointed.
I wonder what it is about radios and people. Something just about the sound.
Listening to chicago.

Thank you! Even the music is better this way!
Apparently there's a 16 year old riding a skateboard with a longsword in Los Angeles.

There's a stolen car in Los Angeles as well as a car crash.
The guy that was hijacked was hit by another car. He's on the way to the hospital while the police are searching for the stolen car and watching over the accident.
I opened up each of them at once in different windows. It's really creepy, especially considering that some only come in one headphone at once. It's like I'm surrounded.
Now to see if they have East St. Louis.....
[Sp]and appellation was never heard from again[/sp]
this is giving me chills

or maybe my vibrating fan is but still ominous
I'm going to have to try this the next time I'm in flint.
They said there's a guy who looks like Tyrone biggums!
:v:
Now it's time for the New York police department!
[endless silence]
BRRZEEP
[endless silence]
just like Lunar Flight.
Someone was talking about his son graduating today on the Chicago one, and how he was actually surprise about his son.
First thing to pop up for Deep Thought was a speech about human control and torture. Creepy.
I read the thread title (or more-so, misunderstood it) totally wrong, and thought this was something that broadcasted relaxing music to police scanners somehow.
I was slightly disappointed.
There is something about radio chatter that's so relaxing, not sure why though

It is distressing for me when they all suddenly go quiet and the music keeps playing..
By the way, is this live or pre-recorded? Also, does anyone know why police radios always have such low quality?
Was on Los Angeles, got soft almost depressing music just as a male voice reported that the suspect has committed suicide in front of the police, looks to be a young man in his 20s.
Yeesh.

Oh lord, found Brisbane in Australia on the Beta site.
'We got some rocket scientist pointing green lasers at planes up at Sandgate, anyone nearby to get this plonker?'
tune into baltimore, music abruptly turns depressing, a father is threatening to kill himself during a domestic dispute
how the hell is listening to crime reports to (some) very creepy music supposed to be relaxing

It's supposed to give some sort of "eye of the storm"-feeling, a sort of "calm within the chaos", whereas you are safely listening to several crimes happening at once while you are safely in your home and not put to danger at all.

That might make sense if it weren't for all those break-ins.
