Feel free to not rate them in order or pick more than 10, that's fine too. These don't have to be what you consider the best 10 films of all time, simply your 10 favorites! I have no taste, but I do not care. Hot Fuzz (2007) Psycho (1960) Pulp Fiction (1994) Godzilla: Invasion of Astro-Monster (1965) 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968) The End of Evangelion (1997) Memento (2000) Die Hard (1988) The Green Mile (1999) Godzilla vs Mothra (1992) I could probably replace two or three with some more 'artsy' films I've seen over the years, but the titles escape me.
District 9 Dredd Dr. Strangelove Memento Drive The Lego Movie Inception Star Wars Episode V Schindler's List Transformers Age of Extinction
Hot Fuzz The Thing (1982) Goodfellas Predator The Terminator 12 Angry Men Inglorious Basterds Snatch The Evil Dead Planet of the Apes (1968)
Blade Runner (Sci-Fi, Ridley Scott) Alien (Sci-Fi, Ridley Scott) Die Hard (Action, John McTiernan) Dredd (Sci-Fi Action, Pete Travis) Drive (Drama, Nicholas Winding Refn) Fight Club (Drama, David Fincher) Pulp Fiction (Drama, Quentin Tarantino) Goodfellas (Crime, Martin Scorsese) Evil Dead 2 (Horror Comedy, Sam Raimi) Serenity (Sci-Fi, Joss Whedon)
The Holy Mountain is either a masterpiece or utter shite; I've not been able to decide for a year since watching.
Its an experience like no other. Beautiful, disgusting, striking, dull, stupid, intelligent, funny, sad, unbelievable, realistic, fucked up, childish, masterpiece, utter trash, exploitative, mainstream, horrifying, enlightening. All of these words could somewhat be accurately attributed to the film but I love it. It is a magical film that could only be made by a genius like Jodorowsky.
The Godfather The Long Goodbye The Godfather Part II One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest Taxi Driver Deer Hunter Down by Law Dead Man Hard Eight Pusher II
I really gotta see more Jodorowsky I've seen El Topo and took a lot from it but I know it's not even one of his more renowned films. Jodorowsky's Dune seems really interesting to me as well as his new semi-autobiographical film. I'll try a list, it'll be alphabetical since that's an order that doesn't make me decide which films are better than others and im gonna be liberal w genre lol American Beauty (1999 | Sam Mendes | Drama, satire) Blue Is The Warmest Colour (2013 | Abdellatif Kechiche | Drama, LGBT+, realist) Blue Velvet (1986 | David Lynch | Crime, romance, surrealist) Boogie Nights (1997 | Paul Thomas Anderson | Drama, comedy, better Scorsese than Scorsese) Breaking The Waves (1996 | Lars Von Trier | Drama, Romance, (sur)realist) Drive (2011 | Nicolas Winding Refn | Drama, crime, reddit-approved) Funny Games (1997 | Michael Haneke | Drama, critique, (anti-)horror) Spring Breakers (2013 | Harmony Korine | Drama, comedy, expressionist) The Passion of Joan Of Arc (1928 | Carl Th. Hell i'd even say this + my list would end up being around my top 15 or so. Never seen The House of the Devil but it looks interesting. I really like your choice of film, you have exceptional taste my friend. The Thing is probably the one I regret most not having on my list, if I could make a top 11 i think it would squeeze in. It launched my love for Kurt Russell movies.
