enjoying this album features, besides swizz beats who ruins everything he touches, are pretty cool
I don't want to initiate a flame war but, I am curious as to the difference between Rap and Hip-Hop. I know there is a distinct difference but, I really can't pin it. So I was just curious as to if someone could enlighten me.
that ain't flame war material lol hip hop other than being a genre is a cultural movement, rap is a major component of hip hop music but not the only one. you can have a whole hip hop track without any rap in it, RZA made some sick tracks without any words. Take a track's instrumental, it's still hip hop, rapping over it doesn't make things hip hop, it all comes from the same culture. there's always a DJ or a musician for hip hop tracks, they're not emcees because they don't rap, but they're still making hip hop, as in they're making beats and tracks inspired from all the things that make hip hop a culture. Hip hop is so much more than just music tho, as AK'z said its a culture. Breakdance, graffitis, you know, look it up, there's plenty of wonderful stuff all around this great universe that is hip hop
Did not feel like browsing through 29 pages. Have some Dope D.O.D Video is pretty cool so watch in HD.

I've had this album for years and only just revisited it It's either genuinely brilliant or I'm just having a nostalgia rush. :)
That album still had a lot of the magic that get rich or die tryin' had but it was obvious he was getting worse. Oh and here's my review of Kreayshawns album, check it out
That album still had a lot of the magic that get rich or die tryin' had
didn't like that one all that much, but the singles were classic. [editline]2nd October 2012[/editline] His recent stuff has been a bit of a dud though.
His recent stuff has been a bit of a dud though.
Understatement of the decade.

The last few posts reminded me of The Sound Providers.
I like this page the best. I finally started listening to Macklemore. Not disappointed at all. Thrift Store is so fucking catchy.
Aesop never gets old. Can I get some other artists with a similar style?
El-P maybe? Although it's kind of a stretch Aesop's thing is kinda that he has his own original style
Yeah I realize it's kinda hard to ask for artists that are similar to someone that is probably most known for their lyrical uniqueness and uniqueness over all.

There's too much negativity about the "gangster" side of hip hop. The reality can hurt but it's just music who gives a shit. [editline]6th October 2012[/editline] anyone heard this?

I know vince staples isn't in OF but hes affiliated with them. He's so under rated. In my opinion he's top 10 dead or alive. For real. He needs to get big.
