Does anyone know any rappers that remind you of Elzhi? I want to know more rappers with that East Coast/Detroit type sound to them. Nas is the only rapper I know that sounds most like Elzhi.
Any help would much be appreciated!
fyi the heist is out.

Xzibit is back with his Napalm album coming out today. I've only heard a few tracks so far but so far it's really good.

Or you could find new rap that doesn't suck?
I think you should clarify what you meant by "new" rap, just use the word "mainstream" instead. Not trying to sound pretentious, but it's true. The talent is hidden from view.
wtf I didn't mean for that to rhyme haha...

I really like DJ Khalil's productions.
Only listened to a few like Kush and I'll Still Kill, any other good ones?

listen to The Self Science by Self Scientific, he produced every track and they all sound great. Ricky by Game would be my favourite instrumental by him though.
The Heist is probably my favorite album this year, dethroning R.A.P Music from Killer Mike. It has so much effin' SOUL and I can't wait to see it all live in a few weeks. Shit's gonna be great.

The first thing I thought when heard Notorious Thugs was 'this would be way better if it was slowed down and had whiny white kids rapping'.

Man with the Iron Mask OST is a strong AOTY contender for me, trying not to listen to too many singles before it comes out though

Public Enemy is great! The beat is just heaven
The Heist is fucking brilliant but Control System is still my AOTY right now.
