he only has a video right now with all the songs(? still watching it) but no mixtape dl or anything like that yet
This shit is crazy as hell so far. All the weird Jonestown footage. [editline]15th November 2012[/editline] I'm going to skip to the new stuff just to save some time for now, I hope he eventually releases an actual download of the album.
http://www.captainmurphy.xxx/download exists but we can't access it yet
His voice is sounding more and more familiar, I just can't put my finger on it yet. EDIT: nvm it's switched up again, definitely sure I recognised the voice in the first few tracks though and that voice sounded the most natural.
Well I just finished the video, it was pretty good would appreciate an actual download link [sp]the full on porn clip at 13 mins caught me off guard but thats what i should have expected with a .xxx domain[/sp]
it was on 14 minutes tho
It must take forever to splice footage like that together for 40 minutes straight. Also I'm still convinced that there are obviously multiple rappers in on the Captain Murphy collective, parts like 23:00 just sound way too close to Tyler for me to think otherwise, and obviously he has Earl in on Between Friends, and FlyLo has produced a lot of it. I'm not sure who else is in it personally, a bit sounds like Casey Veggies and obviously Azizi Gibson and Jermeiah Jae are on it. I don't know who else honestly. [editline]15th November 2012[/editline] Also, new Action Bronson: http://vice-records-downloads.s3.amazonaws.com/Action_Bronson_and_Alchemist-Rare_Chandeliers.zip
Holy FUCK this murphy thing is the best shit ever. Good thing you warned about the porn lol.
damn i'm bumpin, niggas!
that guy at 2:40 is definitely flylo ive heard his voice in interviews
fuck this is good stuff, I hate not knowing who all is in here though
TNGHT <3
the transition from the second to last song to shake weight is just woah
this is how I perceived it: Murphy is someone's alternate identity. As Murphy, he believes he's doing the right thing, which is getting people to join his cult to destroy the world for some deity (despite the Satanic imagery I don't think it's Satan.) Murphy has reality checks every once in awhile (as seen in Between Friends) where he talks to other human beings who try to bring him back to a single personality. However, the Murphy persona takes over and begins forcing itself (or the deity that controls it) in to Murphy's life. This is why the laughing, followed by Murphy's head appear so often. Slowly, Murphy begins to realize the strain living a double life is putting on him and he wants out, even after gathering many followers. (This is The Killing Joke) Murphy however cannot shake his evil persona his original self is taken from him, as all that's left is the shallow, evil, maniacal Captain Murphy. I also think Murphy realizes that if he were to leave the cult, he'd hurt a lot of people. He now has to soldier on throughout hell to make other people happy, even though he doesn't want to anymore. It's all very interesting.
are you high
That's reading way into it, but now that it's been mentioned and watching it again I can't help but agree
song at 9.30~ is deffo Earl honestly not very impressed so far with the new tracks.. they're aight but i think after Mighty Morphin Foreskin murphy set a standard he can't really meet anymore
i thought it was alright. it's mostly significant to me because of flylo coming out of the rapper closet lol. [editline]15th November 2012[/editline] more or less
i dunno none of the new tracks have struck me like the old ones did. its just like Immaculate or whatever it was he released on twitter a little while ago. none of the new tracks i've heard so far have made me go "whoa this is nuts" like MMF, Killing Joke and Ritual. i'm disappointed! :(

[editline]16th November 2012[/editline] Also I just realized in Lesson 3 he says something like "Two Valves to the Half-Life, two shots through the Portal."

It's this song: That's no secret

I think he references Final Fantasy on Immaculation actually.
are you high
did you even watch the movie and or notice the placement of songs the whole movie is about brainwashing you into joining Murphy's cult. the implied ending is one of two things, that Murphy continues on leading the cult or he gets out and now "you" who he's been showing the video to takes over the cult. the whole movie was very interesting and intricate. my friends thought the porn part was unnecessary but it sold the story more
i think they just got together and made some songs.
okay
I'm really digging Macklemore lately. Pretty good shit imo.
The Heist really did it for me, before that I was like eh he's okay, some good songs and some bad songs.

Youtube version of duality like some comment says, the voice at 25:43 definitely sounds like Tyler, the Creator
4chan
looking for intelligent white rap artists. Really into Cage and Macklemore but I'm really not into the rap scene. I'll also accept black artists, of course, provided their lyrical content is "smart".
smh [editline]16th November 2012[/editline]
