What's up with the film industry choosing to make films of the most unoriginal video games?
Kane and Lynch, Red Dead Redemption and now Just Cause.
They're the most marketable and they all sit comfortably in established film clichés.
Hmm I wonder who who make a good actor for the main character?
Hmm I wonder who who make a good actor for the main character?
Antonio Banderas. Without a doubt.
This could be good if they purposely make it over the top like Machete
But Michael Bay is not involved
He should be.
Michael Bay is wishing so hard that he'd chosen this before.
I have a bad feeling about this.
I quite like just cause. lets see how this turns out.
I'd rather like a movie based on some other game based on overthrowing the organization that leads the current country, I'd love to see a movie based off The Saboteur. Because, you know, The Saboteur has a plot that doesn't fit into a Michael Bay movie!
I hope they run with the Just Cause theme that it's supposed to be like a corny B flick with bad acting and lots of explosions.
If they take this too seriously it could become very... very bad...
micheal bay's wet dream
If done right this will be the greatest popcorn movie ever.
The game never impressed me.
Can't imagine how the directors are going to picture the main character in a middle of a gunfight taking hits constantly, without dying.
Are they going to include hours of grappling and parachuting to get around?

Yeah because western games are unoriginal...
"We're making a Just Cause movie."
"What?! That sounds terrible! Why would you even consider doing that?!
"Just cause."
When the game already has a terrible story line, I can't wait to see how the movie's story turns out.
Michael bay's wet dream.
Yeah because western games are unoriginal...
as a video game it's pretty fresh
but it would/will make a terribly bland movie since it borrows so much from classic western movies
Game meant to look like a bad movie being made into a bad movie for real
If this movie somehow incorporates a Tuk Tuk cabled to a passenger jet it'll be the greatest thing ever
Its gonna suck. It sounds like something uwe boll will direct. Id rather love a Half Life movie over this.
It's being based off of a game that is meant to be a B-rate film; the worst thing they could do is make it better than the game.
I just hope that they keep Bolo Santosi's voice actor; it wouldn't be the same without her.
It will only be good if they go for making a B-movie that is purposely corny.
If they take this stuff serious, it will fail horribly.
I wonder how they're going to deal with the fact that the boss battles are some of the least exciting parts of the game. I mean you could have endless hordes of soldiers running at you but that wouldn't be a story at all.
I mean really the parts of the movie that would be intended to have the most tension would instead be:
-An old man throwing fireworks.
-A guy who never got the memo that the Cold War ended nearly 20 years ago shooting a minigun at anything that moves.
-Another old man who basically dies in about half a second.
-A short man with a rocket launcher.
-The aforementioned short man riding a nuke.
dude they did it with Postal
Eh, Postal the Movie was ok...
The only way this could possible be good is if it was the over the top type of good like machete was.
[sp]Just kidding machete was, hands down, the best movie of all time.[/sp]
Either way I don't think this will do it justice because you simply can't do the crazy shit that you could in the game, in a movie. Like this:
If this movie somehow incorporates a Tuk Tuk cabled to a passenger jet it'll be the greatest thing ever
Also, this.
Fuck it just make half the movie about chaining tons of objects to jumbo jets

I wonder how they will explain Rico's infinite supply of parachutes.
I wonder how they will explain Rico's infinite supply of parachutes.
"And this, Rico, is how your parachute goes back into your pack after use, like a cats anus after its been used as a silencer for a pistol".
