unless there has been a big update today, not really.

Check the newest manga. They have added a lot but just haven't announced it yet.

oh you and your fakku
oh who am I kidding let's see what they've got today
That orz thing was actually pretty good.
Huh, Aoi Bungaku 07-08 was pretty cool.
Two almost identical stories from two different viewpoints in two different seasons (summer and winter) but with the exact same characters.
I can't decide if I think this show is worth a 8/10 or a 9/10 so far.
rewatched summer wars this time while fully conscious
good movie

The shitty quality, Korean hardsubbed version?
The shitty quality, Korean hardsubbed version?
It was korean hardsubbed but it wasn't shitty quality

But it's not DVD quality.
DVD quality = Good quality
Non-DVD quality = Bad quality
Just look at those colors and say "It's good quality"
I don't see anything wrong and since I'm used to watching streaming movies which have twenty times worse quality than that and never watch any HD videos I think that's high-quality enough
The problem is that the site I download from usually packs movies in 700MB or 300MB .mkv files for convienience and there was only a few versions upped
Fucking finally got the DTB S2 OST. Better be worth the wait.

Convenience? How is it convenient to make them much larger than they need to be? Especially with that shitty quality?
The trick for this movie is to get your hands on the DVD RAW and mux in the sub with Mkvmerge GUI to get good quality, also I read that the sound falls out of sync halfway through on the sub.

I think fitting a two hour movie into 700MB of data with that quality is a very convenient thing
Used to be half the quality because everyone used .avi
Also, I consider that actually a good quality release compared to other things I commonly watch

What I said was that the filesize was larger than it needed to be for that quality and resolution. I don't see how making everything exactly 700 or 300MB is convenient when they could instead go with whatever size it happens to be in order to save as many MB's as possible.
Even broadcasted TV quality looks better and has a higher resolution.

1280x720 TV broadcast.

It seems pretty fine because there's little artifacting in the video and I'm able to make out everything from the video and personally I haven't seen any better video compression and we're talking about movies here not episodes so they're on average around five-six times larger
Also I don't like downloading 5GB Blu-ray rips thanks

I love the DtB 2 OST, it makes the perfect bgm in action games.
For example, this here is a great track to listen to.

It has a lot of artifacting. And yes, I know we're talking about movies. The picture I showed above is a 43 minutes long clip (two episodes in one video), it has a resolution over the double of yours and takes 500MB, which is overkill for it, could have gotten pretty much the same quality at 300MB, and given that it is over double the resolution of your movie it would have taken maybe 130-200MB for that resolution. For a movie then it would have taken about 500MB max.

Mmkay.
Well, time to do what I was supposed to do before christmas... Wash my room.
I cleaned it and removed dust but never got around to washing it.
Oh wow, that really is a horrible sub.

Clearly not going to watch that before a decent sub and video is out.

700MB is a standard size for XVID/DIVX live action movie. Scene groups are still using ancient compression like MPEG4 Part 2 for compatiblity I guess. Using MPEG4 AVC (H.264) you can easily cut the size to half, or at least 2/3. Animation is other thing since it's way easier to encode and animation is usually really static most of the time for obvious budget reasons.

The RAW is in Xvid, they made it into H264. Notice that his video is in .mkv, which is also why the audio goes out of synch halfway through.
In my version I muxed the DVD RAW together with the sub leaving it at 1.36GB, still shitty quality as you can see.
700MB is standard VHS quality.
~1.4GB is standard DVD quality.
You clearly didn't download the v2 release / subtitles suck dick most of the time anyway
