Baccano! has excellent dubs i hear since it has appropriate accents
no danish just sounds bad lol

:ohdear:
I watch certain dubs depending on the atmosphere of the anime, Big O has a somewhat western atmosphere, so I watch it with english dub
"I saw three bad dubs ALL DUBS SUCK"
"oh except these two because I've actually seen these and they're not that bad"
I personally will try the dub of something first and if it's shit, THEN I'll turn on the subs
English isn't even my main language so I don't really care about that.
Baccano! has excellent dubs i hear since it has appropriate accents
It has accents but they're kind of devoid of emotion. I preferred it subbed. But that's probably because they pronounced "Flying Pussyfoot" in the greatest manner possible.
Aoi Bungaku 10
That... That was beautiful and has to be the longest 22 minutes in my life. I just can't believe all that was only in one episode.
Okay Revy is like one of the few bad ones in Black Lagoon but people like Dutch and Benny, those are dubs. Hellsing had an okay dub and..well I've only seen them 2 + Cromartie High dubbed.
Cromarties was fitting and top-notch though.
After what I've seen from the youtube clips Cromartie's dub is pretty bad. But the thing is that the bad dub really fits the show very well and just improves the humor.
I thought both Dutch and Benny sounded way too cheesy, and as said, stiff.
Baccano! has excellent dubs i hear since it has appropriate accents
It's good... For a dub. It's still not that good, but one of the better ones.
Ghost in The Shell S.A.C. dub is alright.
I agree. However, Japanese Batou has the superior voice.
'fuck you get it?
I needs it
Still needs it?
I got it
I don't really see why you guys would watch dubs at all.
Things should be seen in their original language. If a movie is Spanish you watch it in Spanish with english text. Don't ruin the mood and choice of characters by swapping it with someone who didn't make the movie/show picking out the voices.
Things should be enjoyed as the makers intend it to be enjoyed.
would you watch something that is originally spanish, if it takes place in japan?
Yes, of course.
There can be people speakin Spanish in Japan too. Ever heard of foreigners? Or simply cultural differences?
For some reason, I think Horo looks like a fox rather than a wolf

The color scheme is totally diferent.

I ment if everyone, even the non-foreigners, were talking spanish, and eating spanish food...in tokyo
and the main character was born there, and speaks spanish
For some reason, I think Horo looks like a fox rather than a wolf
no this is a fox

Then I would have wished for the producer to actually make them speaking Japanese, but I would still watch it in Spanish.
Actors aren't just picked by looks, but by voice and acting skills. Removing the voice and replacing it with some other voice that some tard at a studio choses ruins half the meaning behind picking that actor.
And it's nearly impossible to re-create the atmosphere in the voice that makes it sound realistic. You can pretty much always hear that it is a dub, and you can always see it.

That story would make no sense.

On a somewhat related note, the dub of Beck removed some really cheesy Engrish, which is reason enough for me to watch it dubbed. I mean, the main character's voice is a bit annoying, but I can't take Engrish seriously at all.
[editline]02:47PM[/editline]
Well, it was related when I started writing it.
That story would make no sense.
I'm trying to point out that not everything sounds better in the language it was created in.
