also, vempire n ghouls don't really appeal to me
So I return to Railgun thinking I stopped at episode 10 and realise that I stopped at 5, but had up to 10 ready to watch
god fucking damnit
watching 6-17 now
Also, vempire n ghouls don't really appeal to me
That doesn't matter. That's not what Hellsing Ultimate is really all about.
It's about blood, guns and action.
We did see some real time travelling... to a few years in the past. To help young Haruhi draw some symbols. This didn't develop her character in any way and served no purpose except to tie up a barely loose end nobody cared about. It certainly wasn't interesting or exciting.
As for only hearing about things: the end of Remote Island Syndrome.
[sp]The murder was fake and staged, but it was hinted that Haruhi had created something, a 'shadow'. The show left this hanging. It would have made for a good plot.[/sp]
We only briefly see Itsuki and Nagato's powers and the rest of the time we're pretty much taking their words on it. Nagato in particular is the most interesting character that the writers do almost nothing with except spout exposition.
This exposition would make for a far more interesting plot if any of it played any part in what actually happens.
An interesting show? He's less than a normal guy. He's a lazy bastard. Like during endless eight, trying nothing to stop things from repeating. Six times.
The only time I felt he ever did anything useful was when he almost [sp]slugged that cunt in the face. This scene actually had my attention... SOMETHING WAS HAPPENING! At last, the characters were actually developing and there was drama!
But oh he never hit her and everyone was shocked at him and oh he apologized that makes it better we'll never mention this again look at the funny dance isn't it cuuuute? [/sp]
Kyon is by far the worst protagonist I've ever seen or read in relation to the plot of his story. As bland as a beige wallpaper.
They all lasted five minutes at most. Most of the show is the Bridgade sitting around the clubroom while Haruhi is an annoying bitch that frustratingly never gets any karmic justice.
The show is missing basic components such as character development and having the bite to back up its bark. I wouldn't mind, but somehow it's popular. Insanely popular.
I haven't seen the second season yet by the way. And it's the first season that has all the fucking hype to it. The second season was generally looked down by on by everyone because of the endless eight arc.
I can agree on the Island thing, how we got to see some shadow moving up in the mountains and such but then they just said "Nah, we ain't gonna explain that shit, just forget about it".
I personally would find it to turn into a generic supernatural show if they put more emphasis on their powers. The show is called and is about Haruhi and how they just simply have to keep her entertained so that she doesn't destroy the world by creating a completely new one. It's kinda thrown in your face from the start (well, I guess that depends on the order you watch it in).
But I'm quite into slice of life shows so that's a plus for me but for you it's probably a minus.
I find it to be quite normal to be a lazy bastard. And I don't see how a normal guy would actually help very much if we put this in a more realistic perspective.
You have an esper, a time-traveller and a super intelligent alien, and there is also some hyperactive God.
What can the normal guy say and/or do that those can't? The alien is intelligent enough to pretty much have an answer to everything and keep people from doing stupid shit. The time-traveller can look up things and stop things from happening (well, seeing as people usually look at time-travelling that way, that you can change things, which I don't) and the esper... Can move things? Nah, he's pretty useless if he isn't in his own place, but hey, he knows how to be useless and smile.
What can a normal guy do that these wouldn't do better and faster than him? He's just Haruhi's play thing.

I love slice of life style shows, if the characters are well developed and interesting.
In Haruhi you can sum them all up with a single tv tropes page.

Except for during Endless Eight, he was just pitiful there.

Do you know anything about an endless recursion of time? This time loop wasn't like the one in the movie Groundhog Day.

So here Kyon is, he has been told that time is looping tens of thousands of times over and has been feeling deja vu all summer. He knows Haruhi is unsatisfied and is the cause of it.
He doesn't try anything.
At all.

deep inside he doubted all that time looping so he didn't want to do anything drastic if it would not loop

I was right, you know nothing.
Steam Boy is awesoem
watching since I forgot the plot
I was right, you know nothing.
Explain then?
I was right, you know nothing.
He tried to stop, but couldn't make the next step for some reason. In every loop Kyon notices something's wrong more and more, until the last when he said they still had homework to do, thus breaking the loops.
Am I right?
Explain then?
It so simple that it is astonishing you don't know.
He doesn't remember. Once the time loop starts over his memory is reset as well and only an extremely faint residue is left over. By the end of Endless Eight the faint memory residue has built up enough to have an impact.
That was hard.

It is simply astonishing that you can't read.
I already mentioned that.
But he is told, 15,000 times over. Given details of what happens in the summer and personally feels deja vu.
He is presented with the scenario and has means to attempt some kind of solution.

'I can't think of anything, I wasn't paying attention.'
Yeah, he 'tried'.

Until the little parts of dejavu come together and finally made that step.
Until the little parts of dejavu come together and finally made that step.
Yeah but it took over 15,000 recursions to get to that point.
Until the little parts of dejavu come together and finally made that step.
8 episodes later.
Endless Eight isn't some big jigsaw you have to piece together to figure out. It's all very straight forward.
It was also a slack-jaw retarded idea to make it last eight episodes.
I don't see how making something 8 episodes long makes you slack-jawed and impaired but ok
