Oh hi page 10, I'll post my stuff here when I get off work.
[editline]20th April 2013[/editline]
Picked up Coheed & Cambria - The Afterman: Descension (Big Beige Demos), Dust - Hard Attack, Tame Impala - Self Title EP

Kinda bummed I didn't get to pick up Davenport Cabinet - Our Machine, and The Prize Fighter Inferno - Half Measures...
my RSD haul has literally been only the keaton henson 7"
and a whole bunch of free breakcore records which is neat too but i still need to hear them
Holy fuck it was cold in Chicago this morning. Waited in line for an hour and a half in 30 degree weather.
Managed to get the Between the Buried and Me box thing, which was $80 for some reason. Unfortunately, it's the cheapest way to get Parallax 1: Hypersleep Dialogues, and I can sell off my extra copy of Parallax 2.
I really wanted the Sigur Ros record, but it looks like they're going to be reprinting those at least.
I also picked up Anciients' "Heart of Oak" while I was there.

that's a beautiful looking record
My local record store got shafted this RSD, they only got 20% of what they ordered and none of it was good, so I didn't get any RSD stuff.
But I got these so it wasn't a total loss.

My store didn't have any of the RSD stuff that I wanted, but I did get a decent haul.

Also they were having a deal on some cassette tapes, so I grabbed a couple just 'cause.

Has this happened to anyone else where you start listening to a record that's mostly instrumental, then 5 or 10 minutes into it, you realize its at the wrong speed?
That just happened to me with this Anciients record. It's apparently 45RPM, and I didn't notice until after 5 minutes when the vocals came in. I just thought the guitars were really down-tuned and slow :v:
I need that Time record by ELO so badly, Ghost.
maaaaan tegan and sara sucks
[editline]21st April 2013[/editline]
btw its not "dust - hard attack" its a double LP combining ST and hard attack

[media]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iOFjDs1Vzzo[/media]
at 33 1/3 forever on the flaming lips EP it came on and I only recently found out it was meant to be played at 45
I went to Last Vestige (if anyone's ever in upstate NY and passes through Albany definitely stop there) and got 8 records for $25. Best. Purchase. Ever. They all sound so good too I can't believe I got this lucky today.
Revolver ($8), Crosby, Stills & Nash ($10), Simon and Garfunkel ($1), The Doors ($3)

either that record store doesn't give a SHIT about DICK or those records are beat to hell
The mamas and the papas were the creepiest fucking band
I haven't listened to them, but my grandpa called me while I was waiting in line outside the record store and asked me to see if I could find The Mamas and the Papas greatest hits while I was there.
I don't think they really understood when I told them how busy the place was for Record Store Day. The line snaked around the entire store because everyone was trying to get inside due to it being 30 outside. Not to mention that the Chicago Loop store is pretty small to begin with.

Does gramps think people still listen to their hip 8 track players and what not?
I don't know what my grandparents think, apart from believing that Obama is a dictator.
I got them a record player for christmas. They have a lot of records, but nothing that's of interest to me. Mostly 50s music and whatnot.
I bet they have this one somewhere.

Didn't get any cool RSD shit since I didn't get out until 4 today, and the only thing I really wanted was the ATDI reissue. Here's my boring haul anyways.
[img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/leXeBdJ.jpg[/img_thumb]
The Arrogant Sons of Bitches album was a cool surprise. Got it used for like $6 but its in really good condition, and I think it's one of the only 100 "sunflare blue" vinyls.
Lift Your Skinny Fists is a must-have.
Just don't fall asleep listening to Static. I did that once. Scared the shit out of me.
