you can sell em later, collectibles, etc. ie I have two copies of the first megadeth record
It's a damn shame they never released this on CD, one of my most favourite Beatles albums.
is that "the ballad of john and yoko"?
It's Hey Jude, but that song is on it too.
cool deal. i have most of those songs as singles already tho, but it looks like its worth picking up anyways i bought a bunch of dad rock recently, all original pressings: queen - queen rolling stones - get yer ya-yas out the police - outlandos d-Amour the who - live at leeds (original "gatefold stamp" with insert) the doors - the doors "break on through" is totally fucked but the rest of the albums play great front to back despite a few visible scratches. [editline]7th August 2013[/editline] get your yayas out is near mint, in fact [editline]7th August 2013[/editline] i also picked up a free kitten picture disc 7" single and some local records [editline]7th August 2013[/editline] the police dont get enough credit for having a FUNNY song about straight up suicide on their first record
yeah that police song always struck me as weird its such an upbeat song and its still getting a lot of radio time here even if its about killing yourself
it's one of my favs
tbh the only police album ive heard was a greatest hits one and that was 6 years ago
i also have that police album it's their best
dammit that doors album would be good legit the first doors album is so expressive, I absolutely love it [editline]8th August 2013[/editline] im assuming you have it in mono so im jealous, all I have is the stereo copy which is really bad
nah its in stereo. i honestly dont care all that much about it, it's just nice every now and then so I thought "why not" because the price was really good http://www.discogs.com/Doors-The-Doors/release/3723135 [editline]8th August 2013[/editline] yeah you see there the cheapest copy is 28 bux i got mine for 9 dollars
dammit stereo mix of doors isnt great and I really don't like it - never thought I would bitch about something like that but with the album it honestly really shits me so I downloaded a mono copy I think its because the stereo mix is just that they hard panned the different instruments in a really irritating fashion
doors meant to be heard through speakers, it's not fun with headphones..
yeah i never listen to vinyl with headphones
I think its because the stereo mix is just that they hard panned the different instruments in a really irritating fashion
Most early stereo mixes had that same problem, until they finally realized it was alot better to mix bass, drums, and vox into the middle and then wrap guitars, keyboards and everything else around them with the channels.
i barely use my headphones unless im using my ipod or something.

I thought my computer had magic powers when I played Hey Bulldog and the vocals had gone. Took hours to find out my TV had decided to set sound to a single channel

yeah I sort gotta listen through headphones a lot of the time, so it really matters a good mix sounds good both on headphones and speakers
How'd you get it?
what kind of question is this
yeah I sort gotta listen through headphones a lot of the time, so it really matters a good mix sounds good both on headphones and speakers
There are some records I'd only listen through headphones. Dead Can Dance imo is a good example.
New records! Dopethrone came in the mail today and my girlfriend got me Kayne's My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. [t]http://i.imgur.com/ZCVTozL.jpg[/t] Can't wait to listen to them.
Dopethrone is great
I hear that MBDTF pressing is really bad.
I guess I will find out after listening to ~420xXxweedthronexXx420~ Edit: MBDTF sounded just fine to me. Dopethrone sounded fucking amazing.
Knife Man is coming in today and F#A#infinity is coming in tomorrow. Probably gonna stick to shops from now on though, after I found out a huge one was fairly close by.
Here are some of my recent purchases that just came in the mail and they look so pretty all lined up! I've only listened to The Glow, Pt 2 and Song Islands before... Was a big investment, but I'm sure it'll be dope as heck.
Just picked these up this weekend: The Elton John LPs I got for a $1 each at a junk store my dad frequents, the other 3 I fished out of a pile of free vinyls sitting on someone's front lawn. I also got this Amboy Dukes 45 single at the same place as the Elton John albums for $0.50
