Me right now bidding on a City of Caterpillar LP.
ebay is too stressful for me. I've only won a copy of At War With the Mystics on there and that's because no one likes that album.
At War With The Mystics is my favourite Lips album :v: Well, maybe tied with The Soft Bulletin.
Also I just won City of Caterpillar's s/t on eBay. I don't often use eBay nor do I win auctions but this was a nice surprise.
Won an auction for Toto IV on ebay. More like bought it actually, bid three quids and won it. But Toto IV also happens to be the cheapest vinyl album I've seen all my life.

i only bid when there are things that i wouldn't mind without, however i was bidding on something i really wanted once and lost at the LAST SECOND.
so all in all, FUCK eabAY!!

Oh god, I caved and ordered the vinyl version of the new Ocean Collective record.
This is the preorder for a special acrylic boxset edition of the album, released through Pelagic Records. These heavy acrylic boxes contain 2 gatefolds with 4 vinyl records in 10" format; which will be "buried" underneath 5 thick acrylic layers, coloured in different hues of blue, each layer reflecting one of the 5 pelagial depth zones.
I can't wait. They're aiming to have them ship at the end of April. They've posted pictures of the test acrylic blocks they've made, and it looks wonderful.
Here's a picture of the test ones stacked on top of each other.

Also its my birthday in 2 weeks, and i'm going to get a turntable. So long as it has some way of putting it into my existing stereo system - which doesn't use RCA, it just uses cables that you fasten in. It does a 3.5mm jack for music though - do turntables have this? I geuss I can just get a RCA to 3.5 if I need to
I found a sony ps4300 on the net, which was apparently a good late 70s model

The Microphones stuff has magnificent packaging. Phil Elverum really puts care into these things. My copy of m b v arrived completely fine despite the horror stories I've heard people say about theirs. I got the Talking Heads and Yes record for under $10 at Singles Going Steady in Seattle. Good finds.
