Just got this in the mail a couple of days ago: [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/ti4Od7O.jpg[/img_thumb] Album is Sleep - Dopesmoker
I have the same one! It's a really well-packaged album.
Think I might have to start labelling these [t]http://i59.tinypic.com/ml5rts.jpg[/t] Still been buying music, dropped £100 on vinyl earlier this month
The only vinyl shop i knew of closed
The only vinyl shop i knew of closed
:( the vinyl buzz here is still strong, see a lot of enthusiasts about and in shows people are always about to get the LP.
Recently found a proper indie record store nestled in the back room of another shop. Amazing selection of new and used considering the shop itself is pretty much a cupboard. No more travelling to Bristol for records for me. Woop. My Leaving box arrived recently too, it's an awesome package. Took like four months to arrive but totally worth it. Pre-ordered Desideratum as well.

I'd like to go out in Bristol, so much good music coming out from there
Got a Pagan Altar(Heavy Metal) EP recently, this would have been almost impossible to track down had it not gotten a re-release in 2013. made a digital recording of it here:
Hey guys, I have a question about Record Store Day, hoping I could get some insight. Should I show up at the store right when it opens on Record Store Day in order to get the ones I want? Or can I show up any time during the day? Should I call ahead to make sure they have what I want? Thanks.
In my experience, you're going to want to turn up as early as possible. My local store does a ticketed system so people there first get a ticket and then are free to chill out outside of the line until the ticket is called, and if they miss their number they're catapulted to the front. Most places have large queues before they even open from what I've seen

I guess I'll call the store tomorrow and see what they say I should do if I want to get the good records. Thanks for the response.
Depends on your city, depends on the record store, depends on what you want. Seattle, Sonic Boom, Flaming Lips bullshit for example is kind of an arrive any time you want, but make sure to arrive at some point kind of thing.

There's like four amazing used/rare shops right next to each other in St. Nicholas' Market. If you're ever around you should totally hit em up.

The only RSD release I want this year is Darq E Freaker's Ironside Savage tune
My local record store got shafted last RSD, I don't expect much this year.
Nothing I'm really excited for this RSD apart from the new Xiu Xiu releases. Some of the more novelty stuff looks cool, like the Scott Pilgrim Anamanaguchi soundtrack.
found a new local record store right? :(
I really wish Melvins would have some reissues of their older records. I really don't want to pay 130$ for Lysol, but at the same time I really want it.

Seeing them perform it in its entirety next month! The Nirvana 7" is a cool little collectors thing too. Worth it just for the b-side.

Record Store got shafted again this year.
Me and another Facepunch user drove to the record shop in Sheffield today. 20 mintue queue to get inside and some band promoting themselves at the door, finally got in and they sold out of what we went for. Fuck.
I was in NYC for Record Store Day. Places were mobbed but I still was able to catch a few awesome records at this place in Dumbo called "Halcyon". I'm still not home so these are the albums I got (not my own pics):
That mouse on BOC made me double take..
