Clockwise: The Flaming Lips - Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots, Primus - Sailing the Seas of Cheese, Pork Soda and Green Naugahyde.
The Flaming Lips LP is a German 2002 pressing on red vinyl, Sailing and Pork Soda are reissues on 180g and Naugahyde is just the 2011 pressing. Green Naugahyde itself is pressed at 45 speed but the discs themselves are 33⅓ sized, which is new to me. Has anyone else got albums like that?

Been meaning to pick up Rize for a while now, so I was glad to spot it yesterday at my local store. Its an 180g pressing and comes complete with a creepily amusing poster:

And finally, scored this gem online from a small record label. And old-arse Death/Doom metal album from 1990 by one of those bands that did a single full-length album and split up. The original pressings (at NM-) go for $80 minimum on Discogs (excluding the seller that won't ship to Australia) and I got it from Dark Descent Records for $40. Dark Descent advertises them as unplayed too, and they weren't wrong, while the cover was a bit tattered in places the LP itself was spotless and new looking.
Oh and also, if anyone would like the download code for Rize of the Fenix just let me know and I'll PM it to you.
I got some purchases (and my dog is hangin' out)

The Microphones stuff has magnificent packaging. Phil Elverum really puts care into these things. My copy of m b v arrived completely fine despite the horror stories I've heard people say about theirs. I got the Talking Heads and Yes record for under $10 at Singles Going Steady in Seattle. Good finds.
My MBV vinyl just shipped Monday, the horror stories are making me super nervous. It has to cross an ocean to get to me...:tinfoil:
Edit:
Hearing reports of Kevin learning how to bubble wrap things, feeling much better now.
went to my fav record store today. they fuckin rob me every time and I love it

Frankly $25 for a mint, sealed copy of Sin After Sin is a fucking steal.
yeah it's hard enough to find the thing unsealed. the record store in question is my fav because he'll put stuff out that's super rare for roughly 1/3 of the price because "that's what makes record stores so great!" No, just your record store, no one else is cool enough to do that anymore. He never uses discogs to sell rare stuff or anything.

And more on the way.

ive had the first press for a while now and it sounds pretty good, but i might pick up the repress if it sounds better.
Yeah it's 180gr and I think it sounds pretty good, don't really hear a difference between the downloads that came with and and the vinyl. Don't know what the original press sounds like though.

I was gonna get them, but no longer
Gonna hit up Rise again today and see if that copy of Big Black's Lungs EP is still there.

Does anyone here know the usual amount of money you have to pay for a vinyl here in Aus? My dad gave me a turntable to go with me amplifier, so i'm interested in expanding/starting my vinyl collection.

vinyl in Aus is a ripoff

Nice, where'd you get that Aenima? The Devin Townsend records aren't that bad either.

Cheers mate, happy to know i haven't been ripped off (in aus standards).
Got some bits today:
The Scientist launches dubstep into outer space
Coki - Urban Ethics
Moonshine Steppas discover the unified power of Cian Finn, Radikal Guru, Alpha Steppa & Dynasty
And finally Kryptic Minds - Namaste EP, which arrived shortly after I got in from town. If this had arrived yesterday as I had expected I probably wouldn't have stepped into the record shop thus saving me many pounds.

What's that one with the dog on the cover? I've seen a lot of people with it but I have no idea what it is.

I got it second hand in some record store. It was about 30 euros, it's in a good condition too.
They also had this for the same price but I didn't buy it.

Now I am happy I didn't get it. It isn't even the entire album.
Oh, sweet! The HTDA album arrived early for me!

Came home to this. Day=made.
It's great music but that sleeve is awful. The CD holder is neat though
ordered the new jt.
heard it a few times already but am fairly certain the lp sounds best. It's another case where the cd is loud and feels like a brick to the face where as the LP soothes.
