i also just don't like 7" singles. just seems like a weird way for me to hear a song.
why so abusive noone said there wasn't any good records apart from the eno one
few posts before mine said they were only getting eno so ya ): [editline]23rd March 2013[/editline]
if you show me Dust, I'll check it out but I can't google.
way ahead of their time
oh if I get anything I'm not only getting Eno, if anyone said that then that's terrible I'm fairly sure Stephen Malkmus from Pavement is releasing a vinyl which is a complete run through of Can's Ege Bamyasi, so I'm really excited about that now Speaking of vinyls I got the Shields vinyl by Grizzly Bear today, which is pretty cool. haven't got my turntable yet but I am in the following month so instead of getting the cd I got the vinyl in preparation woo [editline]23rd March 2013[/editline] Also wow vedi that Dust stuff is sweet I'll pick that up if I have the money
btw those side by side 7"s are stupid as fuck
It's a pretty neat idea imo, it's just that most of them are pretty sub-par. I've got the Flaming Lips/Mastodon 7" of Spoonful Weighs A Ton at last year's RSD, that one was alright.
those were both original recordings, the ones these years are just recycling shit that was recorded yeaaaaaaaaaars ago.
apparently there's going to be a keaton henson 7" on record store day too im getting that woop also ordered a copy of that braid repress today because we got the order list in toda.
look at how intense and challenging my taste is guys i'm really into the abstract and the abrasive. anything that challenges me. im always up for a challenge musically. spring is the season I go out and do field recordings of bees in fields and turn them into drone albums with concepts about deconstructionism and pollination.
which pressing of feedbacker is that? if its the japanese one i'll be upset because i really want to get that one and im stuck with the belgian repress.
The very same Belgian repress. It's pretty solid though.
did you get the poster too?
yeah. i wanna hang it on my wall but not with like pushpins or something.

who are the other 3
Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Sliver Mt Zion, and Swans? I said to myself he was full of shit but I can't think of more then 4 Post Rock bands that I like. [editline]25th March 2013[/editline] Oh wait, I forgot about Mogwai, that's 5.
I can think of quite a few Talk Talk, Stereolab, Tape, Swans, Tortoise Bark Psychosis is pretty good too
Sigur Rós too.
no swans and mogwai suck the answer was explosions in the sky (fuck you) [editline]26th March 2013[/editline]
I can think of quite a few Talk Talk, Stereolab, Tape, Swans, Tortoise Bark Psychosis is pretty good too
rofl did u just call stereolab post rock
Yes because they are It's been discussed numerous times in this section and the conclusion is without a doubt that they're a form of post rock - they've been labelled as post-rock since they first formed so I don't know why you think they aren't but you can say what you like there's no validity now you've championed explosions in the sky oh also electrelane's debut is great post rock
going to get a copy of Heart Food by Judee Sill soon, apparently the 2004 reissue is good, which is nice because it's a bit less than half the price of buying the original pressing
