You ought to add Kill Six Billion Demons ASAP
Why not just put StrawberryClock's entire recommendation post in the OP?
Why not just put StrawberryClock's entire recommendation post in the OP?
Im getting to it, i wanted to get the thread up atleast incase my internet shits the bed again.
Also it's been 404 days since the last Prequel update but it's totally gonna be worth it guys, right? [spolerabuse]Kaz would rather work on an interactive flash game in which no time passes than actually progress the story, in which 6 days have passed in 5 years of updates[/spoilerabuse]

Girl Genius is still going on? I found it in 2010/2011 and it had years of updates behind it; I don't know if I can catch up. (Also the art style was kinda weird at times) Maybe add Ava's Demon, even though the update schedule is terrible?
At this point I'm pretty sure the only reason I'm checking Prequel anymore is just wanting to see the latest mutation of the "BIG UPDATE SOON GUYS I PROMISE" thing at the top of the page that's been standing in lieu of updates for the past year On a less cynical subject though, I wholeheartedly recommend Schlock Mercenary Seriously good sci-fi that's been running for nearly twenty years at this point on a daily fucking update schedule and it's still managing to be fresh and interesting See also, Girl Genius and Gunnerkrigg Court, which are both kind of a mashup of sci-fi and fantasy elements, both of them are really fun
I'll second Schlock Mercenary with a caveat. It gets very very sludgy with it's pacing sometimes, and because of the (honestly glorious and awe inspiring feat of a) strip-a-day style, sometimes there will be long drags of, "characters engage in exposition," or, "characters come to realization that reader had two weeks ago over what is actually thirty minutes of in world time," or, "and now for the other plot line you stopped caring about." One of the better ways to read it is to check it out once a week so you can pick up a nice seven slices of Schlock in one sitting. For the record, I've been reading Schlock Mercenary since I was twelve and that's weird.
I'd like to recommend Back by Anthony Clark and KC Green. Two of the funniest comic creators teaming up for a serious story about a fairytale like apocalyptic prophecy, with both of their trademark humors worked in works out absolutely fantastically. [editline]9th December 2016[/editline] As well as Dead Winter. While it is a typical zombie story it's got a fantastic art style, great characters and some interesting aspects, such as the occasional "music video" thrown in. One thing though is that it's updated insanely infrequently. It always has been but now the creator is making a game of it! [editline]9th December 2016[/editline] One more is Glam Rock Gorilla . Its official subtitle is a Cosmic Rock Opera and that couldn't be more fitting, though its only teased at the cosmic part. Starring the gorilla from the gorilla munch cereal box, he starts a band that changes the world. Its till fairly early in its story but its got great style and awesome music choice.

Shit, I keep forgeting Darths and Droids. I keep rediscovering it after long periods of time, then I forget after 2 weeks of following only to rediscover it 2 years later. :v: Also, can we have a hall of infamy for comics like CAD, Andrew Dobson's comic etc?
so what do you guys think of mspa-format webcomics? i think they're great except when they're awful
so what do you guys think of mspa-format webcomics? i think they're great except when they're awful
That's generally how it works with everything though, isn't it? Also, KSBD updated. [sp]Did I miss something or is 82 White Chain being able to take off their face a new thing?[/sp]
so what do you guys think of mspa-format webcomics? i think they're great except when they're awful
I strongly recomend Problem Sleuth if we're talking MSPA. I can only recomend Homestuck if you stop reading after act 4 and make up your own ending. that's unless you want to read pages of text [sp]====>.:FoRmAtTeD lIeK tHiS >:3>:3>:3>:3>:3:.<====[/sp] [editline]10th December 2016[/editline] On that note: [t]http://i.imgur.com/ZSSaCjQ.gif[/t] Problem Sleuth - A team of hard boil detectives at work. Very undetective like things happen throughout, strongly recommended. Has a fair bit of crossover with Homestuck if you've only read one or the other. [t]http://i.imgur.com/vAal0sI.gif[/t] Homestuck - Homestuck has it's ups and downs, mostly downs past act 4 imo, But still is quite an experience for how lengthy it is and how all this complcated shit just seems to come out of something that should be quite simple. When a good moment happens, it really stands out. As long as you keep you opinions of the fanbase at the door you might enjoy this.
i'll just crosspost my reccomendations from the other thread
since we're still recommending comics i'll suggest power nap, which is great but has a pretty spastic update schedule, high moon, which ends on a cliffhanger but who cares it's the sickest shit about werewolves and vampires ever and nobody talks about it, transient man which is one of the weirdest and greatest things i've ever read and has great art drawn by concept artists for bioshock and dragon age but ends kinda out of nowhere unless you buy the book, and false positive, which is like the twilight zone but more modern and more funny.
special mention to transient man and high moon because they're genuinely two of the most insane and well-written webcomics i've read, and besides, just look at this fucking art [t]https://webcomicoverlook.files.wordpress.com/2011/08/tm4.png?w=604[/t] [t]http://blog.noisetrade.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/high-moon.jpg[/t]

I like that this thread was inspired by a video on how webcomics suck.
Girl Genius is still going on? I found it in 2010/2011 and it had years of updates behind it; I don't know if I can catch up.
I like that this thread was inspired by a video on how webcomics suck. It's already miles ahead of where I left it like a year ago.
Right, but is it further along plot-wise? When I last left it all those years ago, they'd been stuck in the siege of Mechanicsburg(?) for what must have been a year or two at the very least, and only when I was actively reading it was that arc approaching any kind of end or progress forward.
Yay! A webcomic thread! Have to do a shout out to Nawlz. It was never finished, but DAMN was it a cool webcomic!

does this count as a webcomic
Oh wow, I'm honored you guys decided to straight up add my recommendations to the OP haha.
Blasternation was alright but had a really abrupt ending that left tons of questions unanswered.
Ey, webcomics! I've been at Tapastic for over a year now and I highly recommend The Inheritors. It's a high school/sci-fi comic with a beautiful greytoned artstyle. It's a short read, but sadly it updates very rarely. The Inheritors is a big inspiration for my comic. If you're into zombies, check out Zotagius. (Is it ok to post your own comic in this thread?)
Already mentioned previously but Prequel has a nice artstyle and fun (but not goofy) humor. [t]http://www.prequeladventure.com/this/story1951.gif[/t]
Shame it's updated with the same intervals as the tf comic
Christmas is coming! As such enjoy this classic reading of [del]sweet bro and hella jeff[/del] the Best Webcomic To Ever Grace This Universe. [sp]Jolly Fun Fact: This reading was actually done by Toby Fox[/sp]
I'm disappointed in the lack of Tails Gets Trolled, objectively the best webcomic ever made.
I'm disappointed in the lack of Tails Gets Trolled, objectively the best webcomic ever made.
What about Sonichu??
Gotta add Romantically Apocalyptic and Gone with the Blastwave to the OP. Especially the first one, it's amazing both in visuals and storyline.
I think Go Get A Roomie is probably my favorite webcomic ever. Really think it's worth a shot. Made me think really hard about lots of stuff.
