the number of comics that I still follow but that I've completely lost track of the plot is just way too many already
Ophiuchus just ended and I'm bummed. It was such a great little universe and I just adored the art style
That said, it's nice to have a comic I read actually resolve as opposed to being stuck in hiatus hell. A good, short read if you're interested.
I'm excited to see what the team is going to bring to the table next. I'm sure it'll be great.
Just read it now, it's pretty good.
Kill Six Billion Demons just dropped THE GAUNTLET.
Damn, that's a heck of a scene.
It's 44x17 inches and he's been working on it for like a month or more. Fucking incredible. It's like a legit Bosch painting or one of those Japanese scroll paintings
That explains why there hasn't been an update for months. Imagine putting this on your wall.
It's been a really good month for web comics! Last Halloween *sorta* started updating again, Gunnerkrigg got all kinds of fucked, and Kill Six Billion demons has been on fleek.
But I gotta say: Ava's Demon has just been melting mah poor heart.

Damn, did Ava's Demon update 5 freaking chapters without me noticing? Damn.
And yet 500 pages later the plot still has barely advanced. How the hell does it even manage to do that?
I mean I appreciate the comic for its visual aesthetic but the story is all fluff.
It's definitely a long-term comic. It's hard when you're caught up cuz it's painstakingly slow waiting for six panel updates, but top to bottom it's by-far one of the best.
I also want to take this moment to bring up that the fourth panel

used to be this:

Why?
Probably because of people losing their shit on tumblr. There's actually another round of drama going on bringing back the bullshit from a few years ago over the author drawing saucy pics of some of the characters. Some people I know are insisting it's legit but at the same time some people will go to some significant lengths to harass people online...
New webcomic I found:

Sort of a pseudo-scifi alice in wonderland, I actually dig it. The pacing is excellent.
Today on Poppy O’Possum: "Everyone is secretly a badass"
Can recommend me some dark and edgy one, please?
As long as it's good, go ahead.

Dunno if I'd call KSBD edgy but it's got gore a-plenty and violence is one of the central themes of the comic. It's not violent for violence's sake/just for the spectacle (most of the time), it's part of the world's philosophy.
...Then again, one of the main antagonists is a thorny, fiery skeleton who rides a motorcycle made of other skeletons.
KSBD is definitely the edgiest webcomic I've ever seen and that's exactly what makes it awesome.
Depending on your definition of dark and edgy:
Leisure Town
Lamezone
If you want something that's just dark (but at least interesting):
Stay Silent Stay Still
follow the leader
HE IS A GOOD BOY.
Broodhollow
Megg Mogg Owl
Wow, thank you for this. I just binged on it.
Legit in the top 10 webcomics I've ever read, it's almost perfect in every way.

I'm fucking sold
On this week's update of Ava's Demon: the last five page was pretty metal!
I don't think I've actually read that in like a year, it updated so sporadically and I gave up on it.
I did some fanart of 6 Juggernaut Star from KSBD, have a look
Paranatural will never not be great.

Outsider is a really well-realized space-opera Sci-Fi webcomics. It's probably in my top 10.
For the longest time the creator had to put the comic on hiatus because of real-life stuff and at one point would only update twice a year at most.
That time, however, seems over. He's been putting out a new page every other week or so for the past couple of months and recently he uploaded 5 pages in the span of a month.
So if there's a good time to start reading it, it would be now:
