I love sweaters and scarves and my long wool coat.

I just don't like wearing jackets or winter clothes really. Like if we go to a mall or restaurant I'll just go in shorts or whatever since I know we won't be outside long enough for the cold to kill me, but if I'm going to be outside for whatever the reason I'll wear a jacket.
I always wear a hoodie if there's a possibility of it getting colder later on. If it doesn't, I can just take it off. I hate it when I think "Oh hey it's summer, I'm gonna wear shorts today" and then the weather just goes apeshit and it gets cold out of nowhere
don't let the small majority of people ruin a shoe that's been widely worn since 1917
Converse are hideous. They look like clown shoes to me.
that's the thing, they're so versatile. they work with that scene/emo look (not really but whatever), they work with the hipster look, they work as plain casual shoes for people without a certain affiliation, etc and theyve been around forever. in other words, dont knock a timeless style. they worked in the 20s and they work now, that says something. [editline]20th January 2012[/editline]
Converse are hideous. They look like clown shoes to me.
yeah okay, thats cool i guess?
I have a pair of classic converses they own I also have other shoes, depends on the occasions. In winter I like to wear my boots while in the summer my converses
I pretty much wear Converse all the time. They looks nice and they're comfy as hell. I don't see a reason not to wear them as a casual shoe. I usually wear these: [thumb]http://www.office.co.uk/images/product/zoom/24131023_z1.jpg[/thumb]
rusty i didn't know you were 10?? [editline]20th January 2012[/editline]
dont knock a timeless style. they worked in the 20s and they work now, that says something.
just like fedoras right
rusty i didn't know you were 10?? [editline]20th January 2012[/editline] just like fedoras right
no, not like fedoras. you're just being silly, obviously one is timeless and the other wasn't. [editline]20th January 2012[/editline] and continuing to call me 10 even though I've pointed out they're a completely casual shoe that shouldn't have any group affiliations (if it does for you, it's an entirely personal and probably country based thing) that look great and plenty of people who aren't kids wear them is just being really stupid
no, not like fedoras. you're just being silly, obviously one is timeless and the other wasn't.
you're pissing me off because you're continuing this fucking converse shit when you can just end it and shut the fuck up

I like shoes too
I don't get the hype about Converse to be really honest. I used to have a pair and I remember that my feet used to hurt more often, as I walk pretty fast. You could feel every rock you stepped on, the feet aligned in a strange angle, which makes my knees hurt. They also tend to start smelling bad faster, since it's fabric. These days, I rather use my lace-free Ecco shoes, comfy and nice looking.
I also owned converse, years ago They were functionally and aesthetically awful
that's the thing, they're so versatile. they work with that scene/emo look (not really but whatever), they work with the hipster look, they work as plain casual shoes for people without a certain affiliation, etc and theyve been around forever. in other words, dont knock a timeless style. they worked in the 20s and they work now, that says something.
you could say the same thing for vans so that means nothing in terms of the converse/vans argument and doesn't really explain why you mindlessly hate them.
Breaking up the seemingly endless discussion about vans/converses. I need some new shoes that are a bit smart casual. My everyday shoes are getting seriously beaten up from doing lots of walking in them down dirty london pavements and my other shoes are far too smart to wear all the time (plus they are leather soled and I don't want to have to keep getting new soles put on them). I was thinking either a chukka boot Or a desert boot as per the recommendation of my sister (although not this specific pair).
I really want to like Desert boots but they look so much like Ugg boots with a heel underneath jeans.
The only thing really similar with an ugg boot is the colour, which can easily be different. They have more in common with a mid-top trainer than ugg boots.
I do not like any of those. I have no idea why they're just kind of unsightly.
the brown desert boot things look quite effeminate
I do not like any of those. I have no idea why they're just kind of unsightly.
Yeah, these are some cheap ones that I just quickly grabbed off asos and none are in especially nice colours. If I'm going to get any then I'll probably go get a nice pair from the shops. I'm leaning more toward the chukka boot though.
I don't think it's the quality of those particular ones that would make them unsightly Probably just the horrid style in general
desert boots are awesome. they were very in last season. i have now retired mine for a black leather ben sherman boot for day to day. though i have some brown suede brogues for when i'm wearing blue jeans and fancy wearing them
Yea, people from up North always look at me weird when we get 50 degree weather and I act like it is freezing. Though today was really nice, 70 degrees.
Originally from Alaska. People look at me like I'm crazy when I'm rarely cold in Oregon(land of rain, no snow). But i whine like a bitch in the summer, I don't handle heat too well.
I don't think it's the quality of those particular ones that would make them unsightly Probably just the horrid style in general
Mako, is there anything you like?
Eh, these shoes could work with the right outfit
