Around 4 years ago I once did come close to killing another human being. It was past midnight when I heard glass shattering, I knew someone had just broken in so I reached for my aluminum bat. As I carefully made my way through the house I heard noise coming from the kitchen area, I went through the entryway to find a burglar rummaging through the refrigerator. He was clever enough to take quick peeks and then he saw me. The burglar suddenly lunged at me with his knife and stabs into my upper left arm. I hit him in the face with the end of the bat which knocks him back somewhat, I then quickly swung the bat into his left temple and he twists to his right. I heavily swung the bat into his exposed back and he falls flat to the ground, I swung again to keep him down. I don't remember much for the rest of the night, my memories pick up when I woke up in a hospital bed, it was 2 o'clock. I was told that my knife wound stopped at the bone and wasn't serious. After giving a report of what happened that night, the police officer told me that the burglar had something to say. When I arrived, I saw a middle-aged man in a wheelchair.
Man you bastard, he only wanted to feed his kid.
Really depressing post
This why my policy is, "Best to go unsullied." No, I really don't think I could kill another human being. If someone threatened me or another person nearby, I would gladly incapacitate the offender.
sobstory
You dick. Although, if I was in your position I probably would've done the same thing.
Ponder this, If I was a guy who was gonna be on a plane, but instead I got really drunk at the bar and someone else got on that plane because I didn't. Then the plane crashes *BOOM* ...you with me? Should you have any moral guilt because of that person's loss of life? I may or may not be going somewhere with this, just riddle me that for a moment.
I could, but I won't.
Man you bastard, he only wanted to feed his kid.
Well I'm sorry but I thought my family was at risk and I took action, how was I supposed to know that he was only after the food?
I have no right to take someone elses life away.
Yes
Only like dexter

Obviously that scenario is entirely up to you, but if I was in your shoes, I'd tell him that was no excuse. I don't care how down and out I get, I'm never stealing from any person, and certainly won't hurt them to get food. At worst, I'll steal bread from some grocery store. And if I get caught, I'll fess up, without any trouble. On topic, I could kill someone. Easily isn't the correct word. More like 'When necessary, without hesitation.' I stand strongly behind this because I never start trouble with anyone, so I give no quarter the moment someone attempts to star it with me or my loved ones, whether that's in the form of robbery or a life-threatening act.
If I had to, I would, but if I could die for someone innocent to live, then I'd take the plunge.
Only like dexter
You mean brutally with a chainsaw? Have a heart. Sure I would, if they were a bad person and deserved it
If there was little to no consequences, yes.
Easily
If it was my career, sure. If it were a terrorist, gladly.
Yes for the right reasons. I mean if someone raped a friend of mine or so. Or hurt one of my close ones.
This. I'm very defensive of people close to me.
yse. I could kill someone with no emotional feeling about it.
Yes
Depends on the situation.
I'd probably feel bad after killing someone, now that I think about it. I'm just that kind of person. :sigh:
Unless they were a child, yes.
I completely could.
only if my life or the lives of Loved ones was threatened, other than that I could never take the life of another human being.
I dont think I could, even in like self-defense I probably would, but I would find it hard to, and only if I HAD to kill them, and I would probably regret killing them for forever after, thats why I couldnt be a cop or in the army or anything
Someone tries to kill me, of course I'm going to defend myself. If this means him dying, at least I won't be dead.
If it was me or them I'd definitely take them, but if I had a choice in the matter I'd rather not kill someone. If the question is if I have the power to kill someone, yeah, I probably do, but my car has helped me almost kill someone more than once and I'd rather not take it a step further.
To defend myself in a life or death scenario, yes, I could, but I'm not physically strong so I would need some kind of object I could use as a weapon, or an actual weapon per se, or else I would probably end up dead.
I had this branch theory for human existence. Basically it's the overall evolution of human kind, extending out in more and more branches, but being human, we have problems, and new branches can start, that are not good for the development of us (the red ones). Clip the branches, end it before it starts, trim the hedge for our species to excel. In short terms, yes I would kill them, but only if I thought their mind was stuck, and unable to change anymore. IE: stuck in the "I want to kill people" mindset.
Only if I had to.
If I had a licence-to-kill, then I would kill, but only those who pose a deadly threat to me or others.
