Well here's a heart for him
After months of watching vids of retarded kids/guys with cameras and shock videos etc. this video surely made me happy and melted my heart again. Thank you sir for this wonderful video
My little guy would only ever eat when we ate, unless we were gone for a while. We could smear peanut butter on his little mirror, and he'd gobble it right up. I watched him for hours at a time on several occasions. i'm determined not to get another pet; it can only end in heartbreak.
Most pet birds eat when it see's people eating.
In the wild budgies go in fields together to eat the seeds.
...you cried at Saving Private Ryan?

The part with the soldier on the beach, guts hanging out, crying 'Mama! Mama!'.
Touching video.
All you bird stories reminded me of mine. I went to town with my bike i was about 12 years old at the time. I don't remember why i went there but i remember that on my way back i saw a pigeon on the ground (not usual for where i come from) so i got off my bike and tried to catch him. For some odd reason he would fly away so i caught him. I sat down and held him in my lap. The next second i noticed that my white shirt was covered in blood. The pigeon's wing was ripped apart and blood was just pouring out of it. You should have seen the look on the people's faces when i drove back 4 kilometers on my bike with a bloody white shirt on.

That just made me wonder what the guts were made out of, probably sausage.
Back when I was just starting high school, I had two cockatiels that lived in an outdoor aviary behind my house.
One freezing cold winter morning I happened to walk past their cage. The cockatiels were nice and warm inside their log nest, but on the ground was an unhatched egg, and two scrawny baby cockatiels.
They were just sitting there, barely moving - they must have been kicked out of the nest or something.
I grabbed them and took them inside, got a fan heater and thawed them out.
Sadly by this stage one of them had already died :(
I took the other to a pet shop and the owner fed it some warm porridge looking stuff - he gave me the bag for free because he felt sorry for the little guy.
Anyway for the next few months the baby bird would sleep in a shoebox that I kept warm in my bed with the electric blanket on, or on top of the fireplace (the bricks were warm, not hot).
It has now been close to 10 years since I found that little bird. He's still with me today and loves sitting on my legs when I'm using the computer :)
Edit: I forgot to mention that he's escaped five times, and flown off into the sunset. I would ride my bike around the streets looking for him and eventually find him in a tree or something a few hours later.
One time he was gone for 3 days and eventually found his way home and landed on my neighbour's head.

Can I get a picture of the little escape artist?
Seriously epic.

All the pictures I have of him are at my parents house, (where he is as well). I only see him on weekends now :(

Get a macaw. By the time they die you will be to old and senile to care. I've always wanted a macaw. They are so awesome.

Wasn't on the beach, guts weren't hanging out. Well there might have been a part there, but i have no clue when you say "dying and saying 'mama! mama!" i always think of the guy that got shot in the gut like 3 times by the mg42 and then the soldiers made that german soldier dig a grave.
Thanks, man.
I daaaawed.

Can you take a photo of him there and post it here?
I'm assuming you have a digital camera.

Would a Grey Parrot work?
Throw it at a wall
I had a small green conure named Jojo for a few years. My sister bought him and neglected him, eventually not caring about him anymore. So, I took it upon myself to move his cage to my room and take him out as often as I was home (which was a lot, because I didn't have any friends back then). I left the top of his cage open all the time and he would immediately come to me and stay next to me at all times.
Eventually he developed this habit of climbing into my shirt (I let him; he was really soft and he only ever grabbed my chest with his claws if he lost balance somehow). He liked to climb all the way down and go to sleep on my lap (but still in the shirt) and get really warm. If I got up to walk around, he would climb back up through the shirt and hold on to the inside of the collar, poking his head out in front of my neck and just staying there until I sat down again (he liked my shoulder too, but not nearly as much). He went with me everywhere (not outside or to school, of course) and stayed near me as much as he could. He was awesome.
Then one morning I woke up for school. My back felt extremely itchy and I noticed that Jojo's cage was open and that he was gone. I must've forgotten to close him up last night. Where was he? It suddenly hit me like a fucking ton of bricks: he was on my back. Jojo had used his first open-cage-at-night opportunity to fly over to me in bed and climb into my shirt. In my sleep I must've rolled over onto him and not felt a thing.
Makes me feel shitty to this day. RIP Jojo, I'll never find another friend like you.
I made fun of you about that in the thread you made about it and now I feel fucking aweful.

No you are getting mixed up, it's right in the beginning during the D-day invasion and it shows soldiers getting mutilated and that's one of them. He wasn't just shot, his stomach was totally open and sausage covered in ketchup was flopping out.
Damn I am hungry now.
My mom and I had found a duck by the lake when I was about 6 that had it's foot shredded to shit by ants, so we took it home and took care of it till it was better. Then we released it in our own little pond behind our house, and now there are at any given time 30 ducks that descended from that duck in my neighborhood. :3:
That video made me go like "Dawwwwwwwwww" for the entire length of it. Yes that's six minutes of Dawwing.
i don't think budgies like when you touch them like that.. atleast mine doesn't seem to enjoy that, she pecks me... though she let's me pat her wing
Simple amazing.
