Spelunky & Bioshock infinite
The last of us was a masterpiece. The progression of story and evolving characters were just great. I must say that i was speechless most of the time. To me Remember me was also one of the most unique games when i look at story. It was a bit of a letsown when i found out, that there is no open world, but just a ilusion of it. But still one of the games I really enjoyed playing. Last is GTA V, without explanation.
I don't care what you guys think, but I have to go with Super Mario 3D World. Yeah.
Bioshock infinite was terrible. Visuals do NOT make a good game. Gameplay does, and W+M1 is not good gameplay. I would have to say: Gunpoint Papers, please Zelda: a link between worlds Runner-ups: Civ 5 BNW: was an expansion to a great game, but also not as good as GaK, which came out in 2012 also not its own game. COH 2: Amazing game, but COH 1 is much better in almost every way, so why even bother playing it? Deus Ex: director's cut was a re-release of DXHR with fixed boss battles, but not a new game. Saints row IV was alright, but not worthy of GOTY. Games I haven't played SO IM SORRY I CANT PUT THEM HERE: GTA V Last of us BF4 starbound stanley parable AC4 Metro
The last of us, and Papers, please.
GTA V
starbound because it's the only game I actually gave a shit about this year.
Megaten IV
Please don't hurt me for being too anime. I'm just going off of games I enjoyed the most in the year rather than trying to figure out which ones were the best of something. Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch I might not have liked this as much if it came at a different time, but it's been so long since we got an honest to god JRPG. From titans like Level 5 and Studio Ghibli, they proved that the classic formula can still work. The storyline can drag on at times, but it rarely detracted from the experience. Not much else to say about it really. The soundtrack is great and it looks fucking beautiful. Fire Emblem: Awakening Been a long time fan of Fire Emblem, really glad to see it hit mainstream. Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance Kojima and Platinum is a collaboration that I want to see more of. It's like they were tailor-made for each other.
