Can someone spoil the Stan Lee cameo for me?
He's an oblivious librarian. Apparently it's his favorite cameo yet.
Can someone spoil the Stan Lee cameo for me?
Not really major, but I'll spoiler tag it anyway. [sp]He's a librarian at Peter's school who is enjoying classical music while Spidey and the Lizard are duking it out behind him.[/sp]
[sp]Who's the person that the doctor and the India guy were talking about? Its someone important.[/sp]
[sp]I think they're talking about Norman Osborn.[/sp]
[sp] anyone saw what I think Mary Jane is? When Peter was late for class, you can see a redhead.[/sp]
[sp]I give it a 7.5. It had its lengths, but it was overall good, I especially enjoyed the swinging scenes and the ones in first person were fucking awesome.[/sp]
Not really major, but I'll spoiler tag it anyway. My favorite cameo of him, yet.[/sp] And I've got a question about the post credit scene: [sp]Does anyone know who that was? They turned on the lights when the credits rolled and didn't turn it off, when the scene came up, we didn't see anything.[/sp]
This interests me greatly. http://screenrant.com/avi-arad-venom-amazing-spider-man-avengers-sandy-178597/
Did peter parker make his web shooters in the first 3 movies? Or was it part of his powers?
Did peter parker make his web shooters in the first 3 movies? Or was it part of his powers?
It was one his first mutations in the first movie.
Yeah he sort of developed his own webshooter in his wrists. But in the comics Peter always had Web Shooters. However not long after the first Rami movie came out Spider-Man sort of turned into a giant spider and gave birth to himself or something (What I've heard). Then he didn't need the webshooters. These days he uses both.

Pretty sure you guys are thinking of Kaine, a clone of Spiderman who has natural web and retractable venomous claws.
Nope, coz Spidey still has them. He just chooses to use the webshooters as it exhausts him otherwise or some shit. [editline]1st July 2012[/editline] Like anything that runs for a long time, continuity gets highly fucked
Pretty sure you guys are thinking of Kaine, a clone of Spiderman who has natural web and retractable venomous claws.
No, go read Spider-Man: The Other.
Post credit scene confused me aswell!
No, go read Spider-Man: The Other.
Well, that was a strange read. Also he doesn't seem to have those powers anymore. I think all the other writers just forgot about this run.
Is it weird that I kinda feel bad for Dr.Conners in a way?
Is it weird that I kinda feel bad for Dr.Conners in a way?
Apparently you don't feel bad enough for him. As in, they should have made him a sympathetic character instead of just another villain intent on destruction. That's what I've heard anyway.
Worked the midnight show for this last night. Magic Mike came on in the theater on accident. A couple of angry dads + some stragglers came out to find the manager, and one of the dads had a little girl that was bawling. I felt bad but it was the hardest i've laughed in a while.
Saw the midnight, loved it! Really looks like a comic book at times and the Peter Parker for this film feels more like a troubled teen than the last set of movies. Also Lizard-Man was very well done. Really enjoyed watching him as Dr. Connors and as a big scaly villain. Although I was sort of underwhelmed by some plot points and some of the dialogue, but it was minor at most. Overall I think this film was great! Totally worth the wait.

It's amazing, so many critics are giving it scathing reviews which readers and spidey fans disagree with massively. Gonna see it tonight. In 3D. It's the only way I can see it today as 2D is times I can't make. Never seen a 3D movie before and I'm hungover and tired but I love Spidey too much to not go see this film on UK launch day.
I went to see it with some of my cousins and I really liked it. None of my cousins did though. They said they all preferred Maguire's version.
I went to see it with some of my cousins and I really liked it. None of my cousins did though. They said they all preferred Maguire's version.
Maguire was too whiny for me, how is Garfield's performance without giving too much away?
I think he was a lot closer to how he is in the comics, personally. But that's coming from me who's only read a handful of them. Tobey just seemed... overly.. awkward and creepy imo.
How could ANYONE prefer the past trilogy to this. IT'S FANTASTIC SD>KJBWJKBHD [editline]3rd July 2012[/editline] seriously i just saw this and basically it was SO much smarter than the previous few. i mean everything was done so much more gracefully. the relationship between peter and uncle ben/aunt may, the relationship between peter and gwen (whoever wrote mary jane in the past movies should be shot), everything. i mean even flash wasn't just the stupid bully that peter miraculously beats in a fight. god i can't believe i ever liked the previous movies. [editline]3rd July 2012[/editline] you know i liked this way more than i even liked the avengers. i wonder if dark knight rises can live up to it...
I don't know about this movie, to me it seems like they're focusing too much on Peter Parker than Spider-Man. Usually Spider-Man origin stories focus on an ordinary teenager becoming a super hero but this one feels like Peter Parker trying to find his parents while also being Spider-Man sometimes.

[sp]Hopefully the villain in the second movie will be the Green Goblin, and they kill off Gwen Stacy to introduce MJ[/sp]
This movie was the shit. Sooooo good. I loved the casting, acting, writing... everything about this film is amazing. BTW: Second movie is on for sure, May 2014 release date set (subject to change.) [editline]3rd July 2012[/editline]
Maguire was too whiny for me, how is Garfield's performance without giving too much away?
Really good about body language and an accurate portrayal of Parker. Kind of a mix of the original Spiderman and the first Ultimate line. In a good way.
I just saw this. I was a little disappointed. A lot of parts of the movie made me want to cringe, like that scene in the subway car. The comedy felt really forced a lot of the time, and some jokes just went on for way too long. Also, Garfield just... didn't feel like Peter Parker. Hell, this barely even felt like a Spider-Man movie. Why does it have to take place at night all the time? He's not Batman. He's Spider-Man. He wears a bright red and blue spandex suit and swings off buildings with webs. What the hell is the point of that if he's not even going to be out in the day? However, one thing I did really like about the movie is how he moved as Spider-Man. I especially loved the way he behaved in fights. He was everywhere all at once, just as he should be. But overall, I was kind of underwhelmed.
