Death by spidey catching her the wrong way thanks to Gobbie or via Carnage
Rhys says the man who visits him in the after-credits is not Osborn
I'm assuming it's someone who works for Osborn. Because, you know, Osborn is dying somewhere, I don't think he's in any shape to be visiting high-security prisons.
you can't seriously criticize a movie if you are blind. you just can't.
They don't have a 2D screening in your cinema? I watched it in 2D and I loved it. Never thought "oh, that scene looked like it was made of a cool 3D effect".
They probably have one at some inconvenient hour once a day. The Avengers had a single 2D screening at 6pm on I think 3 days a week only.

fuckin ouch, way to tell a blind man what he can and can't do!
seems to be like he had a perfectly good grasp on the film to me. plenty of vision capable critics have been slamming the film, just cuz all you guys in here seem to think it's amazing doesn't mean a critic can't think it sucks, just because he's blind. do you even realise how much of a bad person you sound like right now
I dunno. It's like a deaf person reviewing a song based on a music video. Specially as he's the only person I've heard so far to criticise Garflied.
Plenty of visual critics? Most the visual critics are only slamming it because it's a reboot. They'll go on to say they prefer the cast, love the story and think it's all great but then always slam it for being a reboot 90% of the time.

There's a guy on The Edge radio station in Toronto that does blind movie reviews and he's fucking hilarious.

Here's his reviews.
It just seems the movie is for Spider Man fans and that's about it. All critics have been giving it mixed reviews yet every fan of Spider Man I have talked to loved it. In fact, I'm probably going to go see it again tonight or tomorrow. I didn't know it at the time, but it was one of the most enjoyable movies I have seen in the past couple of years.
But I'm not even a Spider-Man fan and I thought it was wonderful. This seriously boggles me. What's wrong with this movie for critics to have such a lukewarm-to-bad reaction?

Because its a reboot.

no, it's obvious that blind people can enjoy movies too but it's also obvious that the experience is completely different than someone that can actually see the movie. Therefore his opinion is arguable up to a certain point, especially with a film like spiderman that relies heavily on the visuals. That's all I meant.
Man, I am completely baffled by how much everyone here seems to love the movie. Not that I'm saying you shouldn't, it's just that I tried really hard to like it, but just couldn't bring myself to like it all that much. And Spider-Man is my favorite superhero.
Well it's taking in a lot more money than expected. Turns out people are flocking to see it.
CinemaScore polled audiences and those audience are giving it an average of A grade. I went to see it with my friend who doesn't enjoy super hero movies (But enjoyed Avengers) and she thought it was great. As do my friends that didn't like Spider-Man. So it's not just Spider-Man fans that are liking it.
The only people that don't seem to like it are a few of the american critics. Even then the only reason they disliked it is because it's a reboot. Some sites (IGN springs to mind, I think E and MTV too) have scathing reviews from one writer, but praising reviews from another. Then Rottern Tomatoes and Metacritic are always going with the negative one which is hurting the main score.
That's the only reason those scores are low.
I dont understand why people hate it because its a reboot, though.
Batman Begins was a reboot, The Incredible Hulk was a reboot, even Captain America was a reboot.
Even then, its been 5 years since spider-man 3, some are saying its too soon, but so was The Incredible Hulk.
I guess it helps if people actually liked the previous movies, but even then, not many people liked spider-man 3 (atleast that ive seen).
Though, i liked Spider-Man 3, it wasnt nearly as good as the first or the second, though.

If they didn't like it, isn't it more reason to reboot? Especially if the reboot is much better.
I saw it. I thought it was pretty good. Nowhere near as good as y'all say it is, but good.
But holy shit is Emma Stone attractive.
Also, I feel like pointing out that the game is actually really fun, and an interesting sequel to the movie.
Isn't that the game where you webswing off clouds and not buildings?
Isn't that the game where you webswing off clouds and not buildings?
Hey now, some of the best spider-man games didnt have building swinging.
Isn't that the game where you webswing off clouds and not buildings?
Yeah, but the swinging is still fun despite that. It flows well and has a great sense of momentum.

I kinda like Spidey 3 but more as a guilty pleasure.

Yeah.
Isn't that the game where you webswing off clouds and not buildings?
You don't notice as the webs connect off screen. And you can only really connect if something is nearby to connect to. You can't swing 50 ft above Central Park for example.
It's a lot of fun swinging around.

It's a very interesting extension of plot points. Film spoilers: [sp]Connors has a huge part and it sort of explains his guilt over what happened. Very early in the game like the second mission Spidey breaks Connors out of prison to help him clear his name by stopping a virus outbreak and that's the sort of plot for the game.[/sp]
Also references to "Black goo" and "Doctor Octavius" in Scorpions official bio which implies Scorpion is a mix between Scorpion DNA, Human DNA and Symbiote DNA. There's also references to Dr Morbius. Allistar Smith also works at Oscorp and plays a major roll. Yes. Ever Spider Villain EVER works at Oscorp in this Movie universe.
You can also unlock some cool costumes. Including Rami Spiderman costumes. Which is really odd yet really cool.
The only downside in my opinion is the indoor missions and the lack of the films cast.
Is Spidey wearing track spikes or am I missing something?

What I liked:
spidey being a wisecracking asshole, something the raimi films were sorely missing
Kurt Connors. oh man, I liked him. his performance, his character, everything.
action scenes and first person swinging.
what I didn't:
pacing, jesus christ this movie was all over the place all the time
overly convenient plot devices especially at the end
the cops that got infected. the film just kind of forgot about them. like, what did they do between infection and cure?? Did they just kind of lie there being lizards for an hour or whatever??

I was wondering about that too. I would figure there would be a ton of destruction or something if they were running around as lizards for a while.
There's probably a deleted scene of that. When the movie's already that long, I guess it's necessary.
It makes sense that that blind critic would criticize Andrew Garfield. Like 70% of his acting success came from body language.

I'm just gonna go on record and say I fucking loved this movie. The characters are all enjoyable and relatable, the costume looked better than ever, and I don't know if most people would be able to enjoy it but I found the scientific side of the story very interesting (something Marvel always does well.)
