varies on the drug and how much someone takes.
legally regulated drugs is basically the way to go. takes money away from the illegal dealers and gives it to the economy, you can control the quality and quantity so fewer people get sick or overdose and less crime overall.
Look at all them camera's and posing, you sure they aren't making a movie?
I'd be pissed if I was trying to arrest some guy with a gun and have 30 people point camera's at me
This guy is fucking tactical. He has a EoTech sight, on the side of his gun. And look at his gloves, with fucking carbon nano-fiber polymer high-impact .50 caliber incendiary bullet proof plates.

It's on the side because he's prolly the designated marksman(with a CAR15, for whatever reason)
Also they are doing very, very efficent job. first day stats:
85 scum killed, 190 arrested.
second day
32 scum DEAD
33 wounded
192 arrested
3 wounded police officers
96 burned vehicles
44 guns and 8 grenades apprehend
Tons of drugs and inflamable material apprehend
48 IEDs(yes there's some info going around that those scums are going to terrorize shit by blowing it up or something)
3rd
50 scum dead,
35 wounded
200 arrested
3 civies hit in crossfire
no police deaths yet.
Seriously, I'm impressed. Sadly no reason to assume those are real numbers.
And who's that idiot who said the scum are well armed?
They have extremely shitty conditioned weapons that's age can be measured in geographical years.
They have no armor, no intelligence, training nor knowledge how to use those weapons competently.

I think they don't allow media in lots of the areas so they can operate in peace.(something US army should've done in iraq and afganistan as well) The areas media can be in they're overwhelming.

[img_thumb]http://oi54.tinypic.com/2r78w48.jpg[/img_thumb]
They're not paintball gloves. They're tactical gloves very, very commonly cloned by companies and rebranded as "paintball" gloves.
They use IMBREL.
It's a modified FAL, has some elements of the G3.
Also CAR15's and fucking Madsens!

but making them illegal won't change that but just make it worse, as you see the result, shit load of rich dealers
what would be better, that government would be dealer or those scumbags?
and with drugs being sold by government, there would be shit load of cash, but keeping them illegal, crime will just rise and well, no money for government

Go smoke your pot kid, this is not the western world drug problem, this is full on people who make a living out of that, form huge gangs, taking control over people, setting cars on fire and overall causing chaos and now starting to be terrorists.
They are scum.
Yeah those people are obviously scum because they try to make a living... Corporations that let 3rd world countries make their stuff are totally right tough, they are creating employment... right?

Yes they are scum and by keeping drugs illegal you're giving the scum a massive business to run. Drugs won't go away, how can you not see this?
I don't smoke weed either unfortunately.

Third world isn't necessarily a bad thing. It just means you were neutral in the cold war.
Third world doesn't mean you are living in a shack with no power.
Mexico is a third world country. And if you've been there, it seems pretty much the same as the US besides cultural differences. Singapore and the UAE are considered third world.

Oh sorry, I didn't know killing kids and terrorism was considered making a living.
You are obviously not at home with this topic, go do some research what they have done in the flavelas and why no one really likes them.

Just because you were in a few upper-class areas doesn't mean the whole country is like that.
Honestly, I'm one of those sorry blue eyed "ooh everyone has some good in them" hippy cunts, but those gangs need to be put a stop on. Others can live better, if they're dead.
Also
Alemao complex has been taken over, 220 were arrested, 40+ wounded and 50+ killed. No injuries, casualties what so ever amongst the police. Fucking epic work.
Scum are hiding in houses, they're clearing the area house by house.
Drug lord "Zeu" surrendered in fear of being killed. As he was arrested the local population cheered and yelled "Where's the brave one now?" He apparrotly called himself "machao".

The scum were aparrotly testing Taurus's new .50 cal rifle.
Great news: The german complex was only one of the planned places to raid. The scum are allready fortifying the next location: Rocinha.
And info on the bearded operator. Aparrotly someone on /k/ knows him. He works in 5a DP in downtown, Rio.
He's called "Raul Seixas" and he's the only one allowed to wear a beard thanks to his famous bloodline of bearded warriors.
Ace.

They get their guns from museums and then leave them lying around in the dirt and mud?
They don't know how to maintain guns.
Their police forces are at least a force to be reckoned with
the main harm caused by drugs is that they're illegal. the problem is the atrocious conditions these people live in, not the drugs themselves. they turn to drugs as there is nothing else. plenty of people can use recreational drugs and not end up addicts.
since drugs became illegal the number of problem users has shot up massively each year and will continue to do so.
conspiracy hat on -
the only reason they are illegal is because they're worth more when they are so and where does this money go? the biggest drug dealers in world mingle with the richest business men and politicians, though they may not discuss the true nature of their businesses. When you have quite a bit of money you gain political sway, so it wouldn't suprise me if these business men/drug dealers where helping keep drugs illegal through anti drug campaigns, flawed scientific research, backhanders etc.
a lot of the anti ecstasy campaigns in the 90's was funded by the alcohol industry as they were losing money. it's all about money.
I really hope this encourages other governments to stand up to drug lords in South America.
the glass eye druglord was KIA. He was controllign the german's complex.
this is the best thread on FP besides the Creative Artwork That Doesn't Deserve a thread, in my opinion.
and hot girls obv.
Sadly, I was expecting some crudely made guns with spareparts and shit from the gangs.

AS far as I'm concserned, that's pretty fucking goddamn awesome.
The Brazilian police force are one of a kind, better than the majority of the other countries out there.
That includes America.
Not Germany :smugdog:

if im right in saying they get some of, if not the best training can kinda remember a TV show about it
How have the police force come across this pretty good military grade hardware? They must have a lot of money or they're being backed by another country?
