In my town you can't be out passed 10 pm and I once got picked up by cops on the way to my friends house around 11pm my parents said I could go as well.
So challenge it. Start a protest at your local courthouse. That's what I'm going to try to do.
Are you below the age of 16?
I was never stopped for curfew. Must be because I'm white
(broward county here)
Same question to you.
whats funny is that these arent enforced and youre all arguing over nothing
Are you below the age of 16?
I'm sixteen, the florida curfew applies to anyone younger than eighteen.
whats funny is that these arent enforced and youre all arguing over nothing
quality input thanks for participating in this discussion of youth curfew laws
oh well then florida is fucking gay with the exception of disney world
I think we have these in Oklahoma too.
We have curfew in my city, I think it's like 11 PM or something.
I only know that we have one, we just moved here.
it hardly matters, because before you know it, you will be eighteen, and then before you know it again, you will be dead. we are all in a massively accelerated state of decay, we are all temporary little flecks of cosmic dust thrown forth into a massive, complicated universe that has existed longer than the entire scope of human kind to an exponential degree that is not possible to portray with our pathetic number system and, too, will continue to exist for an unimaginable amount of time after every single person in this thread has died and returned to the elements and everything else we have ever known, every single little bit of history and human creation on earth has returned to dust, ceasing to exist and, in the eyes of the rest of the universe, never having existed at all.
Wow.
I feel at peace now...
thanks for coming
Keywords 'in australia'
Well duh, everything dangerous is banned in australia, the only danger is being mugged or kidnapped by those gangs of roving kangaroos.

that guy just made me feel like shit
I have a story, once we were walking to my girlfriends friends house at around 12 am, (she was having problems at home so I ran to her house to take her to her friends, great hour long run that was) and a cop stopped us while we were like a block away, he said, "what are you kids doing out so late?"
me? oh I just paused for a moment and looked at my watch, it said "12:01 am" so I replied all smug-like, "We're not out late officer, we are just out really early." Noticing my girlfriends tears shimmering in the light he chuckled a bit and said, "ok you got me, stay safe you two." and left.

legally, minors have no rights
Imma turn 18 and stay out dr--I mean just stay out all night.
[editline]2nd January 2011[/editline]
Yeah, drinking laws are stupid too
legally, minors have no rights
no deal
Theres a curfew here too, but it doesn't really affect me. All my life I've always been in bed by 12 and up by 6, though I do see how other teenagers might see it as a problem.
I live in Deltona, Florida and no cops really enforce it unless you're doing stupid shit like loitering around or just being a nuisance.
But it's still pretty fucked up that teenagers have essentially no rights.
Me and a few friends walked a decent distance to a donut shop at 4 in the morning once.
Fuck curfew.
I'm sixteen, the florida curfew applies to anyone younger than eighteen.
Wrong. It only applies to those under the age of 16 or at 16.
Oh well then I can't believe I missed that what with the children that buy guns and stay up till 2 AM out in public, without requiring them to have a legal guardia-
Oh wait.
Legally, until you are no longer considered a minor you can't do these things.
Hell, you have to be 21 before you can drink or legally own a firearm.
Suck it up. Just because you can point out a specific article of the constitution out of context to support your argument doesn't mean you should get everything you want.
Dude, you need some of this shit really bad:

Fucking live a little. You're going against the natural order of things by being wise beyond your years. Young people rebel against the older people and the cycle should and will repeat on and on forever.
So do stupid shit, say things you'll regret a decade from now, form some great memories. Because you will never have this period of your life again.
And you'll never again have such a great excuse for being a total dumbass as, "I was seventeen at the time."
Wrong. It only applies to those under the age of 16 or at 16.
Who is a Minor?
The State of Florida defines a minor as a person under the age of 18.

thanks.
The cops, unless its in a really sleepy neighboring town, usually have better things to do than run down 17 year olds kid who are out late.
I'm in Florida too brah

Eh, legality.
I support the legalization a cannabis, but I don't do it myself for legal reasons. The entire reason it is illegal in the first place is racism and corporate bigwigs. I hate the fact that cigarettes and alchohol, who every year kill both thier users and innocent bystanders are legal even though a harmless hallucinogen with health benefits is banned because it is "Evil".
Hey American government, George Washington farmed Cannabis he must have been a evil drug supplier.
:downs:
I'm allowed to follow the law and disagree with it. I agree that the curfew is unfair, but hell if I have a say with it. I don't go with the flow unless it's the best option. More power to you if you get the government listen to a petition signed by Minors, but face it it's never going to happen.
If you support rights for minors so much, don't forget about it when you have the power to do something.
In Ireland criminal youths have a curfew and eventually are forbidden from leaving the country: passport confiscation.
Young people rebel against the older people and the cycle should and will repeat on and on forever.
Young people shouldn't have to rebel against the older people.
I doub't most police officers will enforce this, unless you're in large group being disruptive.

Yes, I go for a walk every night and would have done so when I was a minor as well if I wasn't twice the fatass then as I am now
it's not like it matters much
if i had been arrested for every little thing i've done as a teenager that broke a law i'd have a long criminal record
