Kindly take your head out of your ass and realize that infringing on minor's rights is just about as important as infringing on anyone else's. This "most teens are little shits" nonsense you continue to perpetuate does nothing to help anything. But do tell me why "they arent an issue"?
Because teens and children have all the same rights as everyone else. You can say what you want, believe what you want, think what you want, and do what you want unless your parents say otherwise or the law says otherwise in example curfew laws. A curfew law does not violate the rights of a minor because it is set by ADULTS OF THE SOCIETY therefore their ruling goes you as a minor have no say over theirs. You can argue it as thats part of your rights but that does not entitle you to break that law. Just as it is illegal for a person under 21 to drink alcohol and gamble. No rights are being violated
civil rights aren't a non-issue
Yeah, maybe to blacks in the 1960's but not to the pudgy American kids we have today.

Really? Same rights as everyone else? Is that why their rights can just be signed away to places like those WWASP camps?
They should do this and enforce it in the UK where I live. Kids go out incredibly late, get drunk and just hurl abuse at anyone who walks past. My town in particular is full of people (admittedly around about 14-16) who just get 'pissed' every night and then think it's fun.

you are displaying a large amount of ignorance right now, civil rights never becomes a non-issue just because you don't necessarily agree with them
Go look at that WWASP camp thread to see why minor's rights are severely lacking
megafan beat me on the second point

Public drunkenness and harassing people is already illegal

Under 18
Your parents OWN YOU. Thats pretty much all there is to it. Your parents control you in all aspects, you cant vote, you have no say. This is not a violation, this is the societal structure and you only have to deal with it for a few years. Stop crying about it and just deal with it.

Then arrest them for being drunk, not being out late.

That's actually incorrect

Yeah, that is not okay. I don't give one shit about how long it's been in place or how it currently is. THAT IS NOT OKAY.

We do this around here too, but we are around 17. It really depends. If you get someone to take care of you, such as a nice friend, they will make sure nothing bad happens. Two people always stay sober, and nothing happened.
That's actually incorrect
To an extent sure, I wasnt being specific. Not saying they own you like a slave but you are a tax write off, they get benefits for having you. And they get to control your life and bring you up how they see fit TO AN EXTENT.

Then vote to change it
To an extent sure, I wasnt being specific.

I plan on it. I'll send a letter to my congressmen and women.

It's less ignorance and more of me not seeing the point of fighting restrictions for something that doesn't harm the to the people it's enforced upon.

I'd get tax benefits for having a disabled adult as a dependant as well, that's not an argument
It's less ignorance and more of me not seeing the point of fighting restrictions for something that doesn't harm the to the people it's enforced upon.
Black Americans being forced to use separate water fountains and bathrooms didn't necessarily harm them, that didn't make it okay.
It's less ignorance and more of me not seeing the point of fighting restrictions for something that doesn't harm the to the people it's enforced upon.
how doesn't it harm them?
restricting freedom is harm
And they get to control your life and bring you up how they see fit TO AN EXTENT.
If that includes being able to sign away a child's rights, that is an egregious affront to human decency.
I'd get tax benefits for having a disabled adult as a dependant as well, that's not an argument
Adults run society. Adults set the adult age at 18, under 18 you have no say, you can't vote. Be happy with what you are given. Voicing an opinion is fine, trying to change things is fine, but why try and make a big deal out of something that causes no harm and violates no rights.
A law telling you that you can't be out after 11 is no different than a parent telling you to be in bed by 9.
Be happy with what you are given.
I'm 20
Adults run society. Adults set the adult age at 18, under 18 you have no say, you can't vote. Be happy with what you are given.
Are you trying to justify things currently in place or just trying to shut down anyone who might even try to change this?
Black Americans being forced to use separate water fountains and bathrooms didn't necessarily harm them, that didn't make it okay.
I think the fact that most of the time most of the areas designated for blacks in public places weren't maintained as well as a white only facility. That could possibly pose a threat. Although I'm nitpicking this, I see your point.
how doesn't it harm them?

I don't think kids are rioting in the streets about the injustices about not being able to walk the streets past midnight.
Because rioting in the streets is a bad way to fight for equal rights
The OP of this thread is doing it properly

Even if they were maintained at the same standards as the White ones, that wouldn't have been okay. I'm glad you at least concede that I have a point.
I'm 20
I know :3:
Are you trying to justify things currently in place or just trying to shut down anyone who might even try to change this?
Neither, I'm simply stating how things are.

TropicalV2 is indeed a good example to follow. Posting things like "adults set the rules of society, be happy with what you are given" is not.
I know :3:
If people over 30 decided to set the age of majority to 30, would you fight it or would you be happy with what you were given
If people over 30 decided to set the age of majority to 30, would you fight it or would you be happy with what you were given
Yes, do tell, superdinoman.
If people over 30 decided to set the age of majority to 30, would you fight it or would you be happy with what you were given
That would just be silly and ridiculous since the brain enters the final stages of development in the later teen years and into the mid 20s. The body keeps aging sure but main adulthood is entered by the late teens and early 20s on average so those kinds of laws could be argued with simple science. During the developmental stages in the mid teens people are more prone to taking risks and making dumb decisions.

Okay, mid 20s then.
