I've noticed that repeating a word enough does that.
For example:
Professor professor professor professor professor professor professor professor professor professor professor
This also happens if you stare at something for long enough. I've noticed while I was in church as a kid I would stare and someones face and watch them without blinking for a very long time, and they would no longer appear human and facial features would begin to look bizarre. Apparently this is something Scientologists used to mess with people during their little test things.
Can someone explain how "buffalo" can be a verb? What does it mean in that context?

To bully.. It's in the OP.
My friend told this to me, he claims to have found it on a WoW thread.
I remember reading this, and trying to make sense of it a while back... When I finally got what it was saying, I was like

this is a real sentence guys.
:psyduck:
I don't get it.
buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo
Title's sentence is incorrect cause it has eight.
Isn't English such a great language?
By itself it really doesn't seem to be a real sentence, you have to mentally add words to it for it to be proper.
Oh thanks, that clears it up.

The people of place who the people of place bully also bully the people of place.
Buffalo. No matter how many times you say it, it gets cooler every time.
One simple one I heard in French was:
"Si mon tonton tond ton tonton, ton tonton sera tondu"
meaning if my uncle shaves your uncle, your uncle will be shaved.
It's nothing as gigantic as these constructions though.

When putting up that "Fish and Chips" sign, you should have put hyphens between "Fish" and "and" and "and" and "Chips".
'Please may I take home a piece of the meat?' he begged. 'I have six little folks at home, and there is nothing for them to eat.'
'You can take the four feet of the Buffalo. That ought to be enough for all of you!'
'Thank you, thank you!' said the Fox. 'But, Mouse, I have a wife also, and we have had bad luck in hunting. We are almost starved. Can't you spare me a little more?'
'Why,' declared the Mouse, 'I have already overpaid you for the little work you have done. Be gone!'
Thereupon the Fox jumped upon the Mouse, who gave one faint squeak and was no more.
