In gmod I use the bone merger tool to play TF2 dress up.

The first time I played New Vegas, I killed an NCR Veteran Ranger in his sleep just so I could wear his armour.
If there's physics objects, I will knock them about, and pick them up and throw them. Sometimes in GTA I like to try to obey as many laws as I can.
When I was younger, whenever someone gave me a task in a first-person game, I would move the camera as if I was nodding. Years on, the habit continues.
I give entire backstories to non existant characters for example; Everytime I play an online FPS, I give myself a persona and entire backstory each time I die, like I'll be playing BF3 and I'll be a soldier named Daniel Green with two kids and a wife who works in parliament, or I'll be Musaf Al-Habibi as a terrorist in CS:S who was motivated to join the Phoenix group because of the murder of his brother at the hands of the U.S. war machine.
You should play Running with Rifles. The game auto-generates a full name for you every time you respawn. Does it for bots too. Every time I play, I end up storyboarding the entire war event by event, and giving myself stories if I was doing especially well. I once played as Thomas Green, a legendary sniper who single-handedly eliminated an enemy fortress and won the war. He was drafted for the invasion, and would go on to become a war hero. He would never get over the loss of Samuel Roy, his spotter, who was killed running to cover.
I used to play GTAIV a lot, and I mean a lot, I became bored of it pretty quickly, so I used to make up my own little games to play inside the game, there were a few, but these are the ones that come to mind. 1. I would play a game where I killed any pedestrian I saw, crossing the road. My reason was that "Cars go on the road, people go on the path" even though it made little sense, it was a fun time-killer. 2. I would drive around in a motorbike with a pistol, and then shoot any other motorcyclist that I saw, take their bike, drive around the city, and repeat. I sometimes would try not to kill them, as it wasn't their fault that their life was endangered as part of my game. 3. I used to run around a lot, and if anyone ever complained at me if I bumped into them, I would stab them repeatedly for "disrespecting Niko" [editline]shit, almost forgot this one[/editline] Oh yeah, last one I can remember was that I used to just ride a bike around everywhere, not killing anyone, just trying to do trick off of ramps, and buildings etc.
When I play open world games like Just Cause or Mercenaries I'll steal tons of cars, make a roadblock, then plant C4 on them.
In FPS games, whenever any metal/rock music is played, I nod my camera as if i'm headbanging. In Fallout 3, I like to behead Raider/Talon Company corpses if I have a melee weapon in my inventory. Or punch them.
I actually, too, make my own stories. Usually I change the end of the main story if it's a bit unsatisfying but that's more after I've played the game. Also with older games I imagine some super company taking them and remaking them with better graphics and updated gameplay but keeping the main elements in. I hoard money in games only to realize I got so much near the end and missed the opportunity to spend it all. Luckily, I no longer save the more powerful weapons and use them more often. I remember beating HL2 almost never using revolver or crossbow because I knew their power and didn't want to waste it. I also hate loosing health resulting in multiple reloads.
I sometimes talk to my character, like "damn this riddle is confusing, batman got any clues?" also,I'll almost never use a healing item "What if I'd need this at the boss fight"during fight"what if I"ll need this next boss fight" also, back when I used to play gta VC, I'd get one of those trucks with ramps on the back, followed by getting some heat, then I'd go to one of the bridges and try to launch the cop cars off of the trucks ramp into the water.
Spray tags EVERYWHERE And on Temple Run you must slide everywhere, even around corners
Explore everything, even when my character is supposed to be in a rush.
I like to use hand guns whenever possible, sometimes they're more accurate then the sniper rifle.
In the office complex level on half life 1 i would always gather up all the npcs in one area.
When playing games like Total war and games like EU3, V2 and HOI, I always make up stories and and background stuff in my head for what's happening/what happened.
I can never play the bad guy in karma based games
I cant either or ill cry if there are bad consequences for example in infamous 2 [sp]you have to kill zeke if you are evil ):[/sp]
Call it the counter strike instinct, but when ever i play a first person I try to vault on everything trying to find an exploit in the level desgin. Also, trying to get on NPC's heads and see if I slide off or just casually hover.
I really shouldn't play video games, I have too much time on my hands sometimes In New Vegas, I killed all the NCR rangers in that one camp near the legion, then proceeded to prop everyone up and put stuff in their hands to make them look alive. In the big NCR fort outside of Vegas, I killed everyone, then proceeded to hack them into a million pieces and then mix and match their body parts. In Half Life 2, when you're using the buggy, and you have to shoot all the combine in a house and then disable a combine shield, I killed all the combine, then spent 3 hours moving everything around with the gravity gun to make a neighborhood.
Pretty much. Most of the time I end the game full-stache and I spam all the ammo in the last boss. [editline]24th May 2013[/editline] Also playing with weak common ammo makes the game harder for shits and giggles.
I didn't realize just how freaking easy bioshock 'till recently because of this.
I commentate killing floor when i play with my friends 'Excellent play from the Zers pulling a double fleshpound and siren combo, how will the survivors play this out? Oh! Beautiful play from the sharp and demo an her, synchronising to first headshot a siren then unload the grenade launcher, the zeds are hurting after that one and it looks like the patriarch is calling a timeout'
I give each character a unique voice and play the entire game reading everything out loud in those voices. Mind you this is when I am drunk, and I don't play a lot of games.
I park illegally in GTA to see if the cops do anything. They never do.
As calm as I might come over playing video games, I actually swear a lot in myself if things go awry. It is just that I am aware that profanities don't make for good conversation etiquette.
When I'm bored in GTA, I actually try and drive like a normal person. I even stop at traffic lights.
I like to sometimes act out in the game. Mostly in Fallout I would find myself looking into the sun and pretending that I'm covering my eyes from it's blistering heat. Or in Far Cry 3 where I fall off a cliff with my car, I pretend that I am holding onto my seat or maybe trying to unbuckle my seat belt or something to jump out.
when playing Dark Souls i dual wield and change my weapons to the rhythm of the songs im listening to
Don't know how weird this is, but when I'm playing an RPG like Fallout or Elder Scrolls, I choose my weapons and armor based on looks and not stats. In Skyrim I never use glass weapons or armor (other than the bow), never used any elven stuff (except arrows), and never ever have I used daedric or dwarven armors because I think they look ridiculous. I try to go for a realistic medieval look, so basic steel/leather armor and steel weapons. In Fallout I have not used any suit of power armor once, and I also never use energy weapons because I think regular 'ol guns look and sound better. Mostly this holds true for the elder scrolls series where the high end stuff is just downright hideous, and the term "clownsuit" is very applicable.
I cant either or ill cry if there are bad consequences for example in infamous 2 [sp]you have to kill zeke if you are evil ):[/sp]
I did both endings, evil ending last and it got me right in then feels.
In every first person game, the first thing I do is look down and see if I can see my feet. Makes the game so much better for me.
i always try to murder allied npc's, and get pissed if the game doesn't allow it.
