You do use roads, even if you don't drive on them. What does your employer use to get to work to open the store so you can get in and start making money? What do the police and firefighters use to get to your house when there's an emergency? What allows school buses to take your kids to school?
Healthcare is the same in that it assists in holding together the society you live in whether you use healthcare services or not.
No, that's other people, they also pay taxes, I don't pay for my employer or police or firefighters to use roads. If i legitimately didn't use roads and only cycled everywhere i went, and didn't have kids, what possible justification could you present in this case.

Do you benefit from other people in a way that requires roads?
If so you use the roads
They have the same system here in Switzerland, if you can't pay for private healthcare, the government pays for it. If you want to pay for private healthcare, then you can get it, or you can just stay with public healthcare. Its a great system because you still have a choice, but you've got the security.

then we should tax the air since everyone we benefit from people who breathe it. :v:

The only person who's invested anything into creating air's The Big G.
how about cutting SOME funding from what your government calls "national defense" and put it into healthcare?
Many Canadians come to the United States to receive life-saving treatment simply due to the huge waiting periods.
Complete Bullshit. That's what they'd like you to believe. Life-saving treatment, naturally, is given the highest priority in Canada, and people who really need quick medical care get it immediately. Non-essential treatments, on the other hand, typically have a long waiting list. This I know from experience.
Now imagine a system of socialized healthcare that permits private, for-profit clinics and hospitals. This effectively eliminates most issues with the prospect of universal healthcare, while at the same time, assuring the alternative of rapid treatment in dire circumstances. So basically, those who cannot afford healthcare can still receive whatever they need, and those who can needn't wait.
Welcome to Australia.
Welcome to Australia.
Or the UK, even.
Which does a MUCH better job with its health care than Australia does.

i know you are joking, but still, air is completely free and no one is paying for it or needs to.
Always happy to help
